Lal Qilla Mumtaz a subsidiary franchise of Lal Qilla located in Al Barsha. This place offers desi taste specially Pakistani taste. Dark mood and Mughals era inspired interiors welcome you as you enter the place.
On weekends you can have buffet at an affordable price. Last week I got to try buffet at lunch time. buffet is not extensive but value for money.
From biryani to haleem and lahori fish to palak gosht expect all the desi specialities in the buffet though the buffet in evening has more options.
What I liked here?
If you ask me biryani, haleem and nihari was good. Lahori fish was a bit salty to my taste and apart from these other dishes were average in taste. Don’t expect exceptional variety in buffet that too in economical price of 40dhs (lunch)
Kebabs were served on our table and yes they were cooked to perfection. Soft and succulent and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed them
In dessert lab-e-shireen, hot gulab jaman, cream caramel, shahi tukra, almond kheer and jelly were on display. I prefered to try cream caramel and shahi tukra both were good. Specially thanks to mani who took care of us during our visit there. I would def like to go in evening to try their dinner buffet
