A new tourist destination in Dubai. Pointe the Palm has number of eateries and Hook n Cook is one of them. Located at the first floor in West Zone
This venture is owned by a couple. Mouna having a background of management but her passion for cooking compelled her to come up with this and her husband supported her all the way till the interiors of this place, which is beautifully pulled off and won’t be wrong to say, so apt with the concept.
Yesterday I gathered some of the active bloggers for a meetup at this exciting place and we all had a fun time with good food and company. The menu is craftly curated with number of home made recipes now the question is what we tried there?
We started off with Salads and Starters like Kale and Burratta salad my favorite was Burratta as it was fresh and so creamy as it should be.
In starters Hook n Cook sampler was something I was eyeing on. The creamy coated shrimps and crab cakes were super delectable, except calamari coz I don’t eat them. Fried Shrimps were also served to us and I must admit they were equally good.
In main we got to try best of the best from the menu like Fish Biryani aromatic rice layered with hummor fish. Classic Fish n Chips were little disappointing as I found them very salty. Salmon Lasagna was the best I have ever tried anywhere in seafood. Cajun Chicken was served with corns on the cob. Prawns curry red gravy with well cooked prawns compliment well with the plain rice.
If you are fan of sliders then beef sliders are for you and yes last but not the least Scampi pasta oh waoOo, creamy yet not so heavy just perfecttttt.
Now lets talk about the desserts Chocolate Lava Cake, Sticky Date Pudding, Creme Burlee and Coconut Pie were served to us and everyone was exciting to try each one of them. For me Coconut pie was a new dessert and I loved every bit of it. It was warm gooey from the inside and little crisp from the outside makes an amazing combo for any sweet tooth lover. Other than this Chocolate Lava Cake was hit on our table
Service was on point and warm hospitality made the whole session smooth and delightful. I can say safely that Hook n Cook is a place for seafood lovers, just visit this place to know what I am talking about. Can’t wait for the pleaasent weather to enjoy sitting outdoor area with a view of Atlantis in front
