Maria Bonita- A Mexican Food Fare

Mexican food lover I have a new option that I discovered few days back. I was amazed that this restaurant is here around for many years and I got to know about it when I got an invite from here.

Maria Bonita is a Mexican food fare where from interiors to servers all emit the authentic vibes of Mexico. The menu has reasonable variety or let say it covers all the main options of staple variety.

What I ordered from here?

• Jumbo Quesadilla
• Fajita
• Burritos
• Churros
• Buho Drink

We started off our experience with freshly made guacamole. The server made it live in front of us and let us sink our teeth in freshly made guacamole with crispy nachos and salsa sauce.

Other stuff that hit our table was Jumbo Quesadilla. If you are a fan of pizza then the Mexican version is definitely for you to try. Filled with chicken filling and cheesy cheese will tantalized your taste buds. It was served hot and couldn’t stop but filling my stomach  with it.

Fajita came on a sizzler and we dive into it first with fork and then tried it by wrapping in the shape of taco with all the sauce that was served along with the food. My friend who was my plus one delightfully savored it.

Burritos a Mexican version of wrap is a filling option. It was loaded with lots of veggies and chicken, though I found it a bit dry. I wish there was more sauce in it but it was totally filling and so apt for a hungry person.

In dessert my friend suggested me to try churros and I am glad I went by with her suggestion. The churros were fresh, crispy coated heavenly with cinnamon and sugar dust. Served along with caramel and chocolate sauce. We both gobbled on them and I would suggest to eat it while they are hot. I just missed a cup of tea with it to accompany. Do try it out!

In drinks we tried buho, a refreshing soda that is slightly sweetened with agave syrup and stevia, the sodas offer as much as 60 percent fewer calories than traditional soft drinks. Its available in assorted flavor and I tried it in MANGO- MARACUYA flavor and enjoyed it fully.

All in all it was a good experience. If you fancy Mexican food then Maria Bonita won’t disappoint you. Its easily located on Umm Suqeim road but parking can be tricky in rush hours.
