Iftar Preview at Ewaan restaurant– Palace Downtown. Its always a grand affair here at Ewaan specially at Ramadan Time. Last week I got the chance to visit it again this year and as always it was nothing but a delightful experience there.
As I mentioned earlier its an extravagant fare, so expect to dive into humongous array of spread caters local and international variety. From staple middle eastern food to international cuisine, you will be baffled from where to start and finish while harmonious oud music fill the air with a sense of enchantment.

Salads:
The Salad counter was beaming with the freshness and assortment of variety. From staple emirate Fatoush,Moutabel and Tabouleh to international diversity all were spread on the counter. Cold mezze and some fresh healthy options were there too, to go along with main course. In hot mezze I enjoyed eating samosas variety that went well with the yogurt based dip.
Bread Stations:
Bread station was artistically decorated with assorted of variety to accompany the buffet spread.

Usually I avoid soup in order to have space for elaborated course of meal but I tried chicken one with garlic bread pieces and it was totally comforting. I could fill my appetite just with the bowls of it.

- Lamb Kabab
- Chicken Biryani
- Vegetable Curry
- Greek Style Eggplant Moussaka

Above are some of the name I could remember from the main dishes. I made my next move to the main course section,where I could see amazing Roasted items like Chicken Tandoori, Roasted Lamb,Turkey and some grilled Items. Lamb Ouzi was flavorful with aromatic rice grains. Chicken Biryani was the star dish for me, you will get many varieties of rice with curries. In short this elaborated spread will leave you well feed.
In drinks, traditional options were on display to quench your thirst and some fresh juices were also available.
Dessert:
How could a grand affair of Iftar be celebrated without desserts?Ewaan had it all,the wide spread of dessert was glorying and alluring everyone in a loud way.After devouring all the savory items I rushed to the dessert table and found myself baffled,what to eat or what not. Selection of Arabic and international sweet creations Katayeh Jous,Banana Hazelnut Cake,Green Tea Chocolate Mousse,White Mousse Strawberry,Fruit Triffle, Halwa Cheese,Katayeb ista,Warbat,kunafa,luqaimat and Strawberry pudding were some of the desserts I remember from the wide spread.All the sweet items were a hit and made my Iftar preview night indelible
