Nar Restaurant- Motor City

Fancy Lebanese cuisine? I have a new culinary discovery by the name Nar Restaurant. It has 3 branches and I got a chance to try motor city branch located in Avenue Mall. This spacious place is spread on 2 floors (G+1) with sophisticated interiors and bright ambiance.

I preferred to sit on first floor where the area is comprised of smoking and non smoking area. In smoking area there is a small counter for drinks and tea and after some steps an open terrace from where you get a look of busy road.

The menu offers delectable variety from breakfast to hearty lunch and dinner. We were there for early dinner and ordered the following dishes

• Hot and Cold Mezze
• Wings
• Chicken with Garlic Pizza
• Ceaser Salad
• Half Grilled Chicken
• Nar Mixed Grill
• Tiramisu

Started our culinary journey with variety of hot and cold mezze namely Batat hara, hummus, moutabil. Ceaser salad was fresh and a good start while we wait for our main course.

In starters on the manager advice we ordered wings and glad we did. They were different and delectable in each bite. They were little spicy and taste like BBQ chicken wings.

Soon our table was filled with hot and fresh serving of our main course like Nars Mix Grill, its their specialty and you get to try different meat pieces like grilled chicken, kebabs, lamp chops and arayes served along with fries.

Half grilled chicken was well marinated and tender as it should be. It is a good option if you are on a diet and want something light.

Chicken with garlic pizza was another delight to our taste buds. Flat bread long pizza topped with cheese, chicken pieces, sauce and garlic sauce was totally worth trying.

In drinks we had Passion Fruit and fresh Orange juice to accompany our hearty meal.

We were totally full and was unable to try any other thing though the manager asked us to try different desserts they source from another bakery. In house Arabic traditional desserts are available but we ended up trying a small Tiramisu cake

All in all it was a good experience, from food to service and I am glad now there is one more addition to my Lebanese restaurant list.
