Being a desi finding authentic taste here in Dubai is no less than a treat. Visiting global village led me visit this desi lover paradise where you can indulge in some mouthwatering food, reminds you as if you are back home. They are soon opening branch in Oud Metha and I can’t wait for its opening.
They have wide variety you name it and they have it. From a long list of biryani to curries, makai roti to haleem and what not list is endless with a kick of authentic taste.
I tried lots of items there yes, I was ravenous and couldn’t hold myself trying out many items from the menu.
Starting with makai ki roti and saag. I think after ages I tried this killing combo that too in so apt weather and found myself loved it to the end 🙂
Biryani, Chicken Karhai, Haleem are all upto the taste a desi soul crave in pardaise. Long grain rice in biryani reminds me of daigi biryani of Karachi oh-so yum. Haleem was beautifully presented and taste equally good. Chicken karhai I can’t take out any flaw.
BBQ platter you can’t miss to try, green chutney served along with it goes best with the chunk of well marinated and cooked to perfection pieces.
In dessert we were served Suji Halwa and that came with puri paratha. Ok! am not a fan of halwa but as other dishes this dish won my heat instantly.
You need to have a cheat day to enjoy everything here without any guilt. The prices are little higher but taste balance out everything 🙂
