I am amaze to see proliferating cafe in Sharjah. They are not just your ordinary cafe but the most instagrammable ones. Recently I came to know about this cafe by the name storie cafe. As name suggest this place is like an exciting place for a book buff. There is a dedicated area for books where you can get variety of book genres from Arabic to International authors.
The vibes of the whole place is instagrammable, now lets talk about the menu. This place serves breakfast till 5pm. Soon they are introducing lunch and dinner menu too. You can finds lots of variety in the menu like healthy option of smoothies bowl, pasta, sliders, risotto, sandwiches and desserts etc.
I started by ordering smoothie bowls and on manager’s advice we tried manga and moringa bowl. Manga bowl yellow in color was my favorite where as my friend liked the moringa one which was in pleasing color of green with fruits.
Being a prawns lover I was exciting to try dynamite pops. Interesting fusion of desi gol gappa served with dynamite prawns topped with wasabi sauce, yuzu sauce, tobika and cress. Beautifully presentation and delectable taste would surely tantalized your taste buds.
Shakshouka was another dish that was adviced to try by the manager. Again beautifully presented but the taste couldn’t impress me much. The taste felt like a fusion of Arabic and Chinese which was not a impressive combo for me.
Fries with chilli beef and cheese sauce was hit on our table. Loaded fries with spicy chilli beef and full on cheese was filling and super delish in taste. Don’t make it wait and dig right away, you would enjoy these fries while they are warm.
If you are vegetarian fret not! decent options would not let you starve here. I got to try Epic Veggie Burger. Let me confess am a hard core non- veg person but seriously I like veggie version totally. It was crispy and filling at the same time. If I had not to try other options I would happily eaten the whole burger in one go.
In dessert we satisfied our sweet tooth with blueberry pancakes but unfortunately the visual treat couldn’t satisfy us. It was too sweet for my liking and felt a little dry though the caramel sauce was served along with it but as it was too sweet I didn’t dare to add on my pancakes.
All in all the whole experience was good with some hit and misses, however I would totally recommend you to try this conveniently located cafe at university road Sharjah. Some of the dishes would totally impress you and not to forget the ambiance of this places added value to your visit.
