PepperMill is not a new restaurant in the list of Dubai restaurants and I usually don’t cover any restaurant on my blog twice If my experience didn’t go smooth for the first time or I didn’t like the food but Pepper Mill is one of the exceptions that am reviewing it again so automatically it gives you an idea about this newly opened branch in Dubai Mall.
This place is furnished in a different style unlike DFC branch where you find desi traditional vibes more prominent. Corners here speaks volume of vintage vibes and you can’t ignore if your a vintage buff.
Expect different menu here in this branch and I bet the menu of PepperMill will make you little confuse what to order and what not! 😉
What we ordered here?
- Chicken Sev Puri
- PepperMill Lentil Broth
- Pulled Chicken Plum and Pomelo
- Salmon Chili Tikka
- Grilled Tangra Prawns
- Methi Malai Murgh
- Chicken Biryani
- Rasmalai Cake and
- Baked Gulab Jaman
They have plethora of drinks option and each one is better than the other, my favorite were Kala Khata chuski and Leychee Anar danaaa, both were tangy and refreshes you instantly where as Valley of flowers is like a magical show on your table.
We started our experience with Pepper Mill Lentil Broth, yellow comforting soup served with mini steamed rice cakes, crispy lentil was giving it beautiful texture and fresh coriander on top makes it a perfect start to start dinner.
In salad we tried Pulled Chicken Plum and Pomelo, fresh and crunchy veggies with addition of pomelo gives it a right kind of sour kick and made the taste so amazing.
In starters we got to try Chicken Sev Puri, Salmon Chili Tikka and Grilled Prawns. Nothing can stop my love for desi street food and chicken sev puri was enough to make me satisfy my cravings. Salmon Chili Tikka was well marinated and soft to touch. Grilled Prawns again a hit dish and can def impress any barbecue lover.
Now lets move on to the main dishes Methi Malai Chicken and Chicken Biryani. I was bit reluctant to try methi malai but on the lovely manager choice I went for it and seriously I didnt regret to order it. The dish made me in love with methi, creamy texture and balanced spices went very well with garlic naan. Chicken Biryani was delectable and long grain aromatic rice layered with chicken gravy makes you want more and more. Glad raita was there to accompany the taste of yummy biryani.
In desserts we tried rasmalai cake and baked gulab jaman, anything baked is fine but baked gulab jaman was new for me to I had to try it and let me tell you in taste it was as good as our traditional one but its a good option for calories conscious people. Rasmalai cake you can expect rich, creamy and as soft as clouds.
We ended our session on a cup of Karak Tea and spend some time on the open terrace which has a pretty view of Burj Khalifa. No doubt in coming good weather customers would love to sit and bask in the beauty of the view with delectable food.
Thank you so much Pepper Mill Restaurant for having me and special thanks to manager Ruchi for being so kind and a wonderful host. The service here is top notch and they know their work.
