Recently discovered this restaurant nestled in the Dar Wasl Mall. I have been to this mall quite a few times and really happy to see an array of cafes with beautiful vintage vibes. Midnight Breakfast is among them. The place have a beautiful backyard feel where you can laidback relax and indulge in delectables

My husband and I went there on a fine Friday at lunch time. The setting of this place makes you feel so comfortable, one corner is adorned like a lounge area where you can sit and unwind with coffee and books. You need to check this place to understand what I mean.

They have launched new items to their menu and I was there to review them. You can expect all the cafe items in the menu mainly breakfast. Not to forget this place serves all day breakfast and seriously I love this concept.

What I tried there?

  • Haloumi Salad
  • Shakshuka
  • Vada Pav
  • Falafel Pav
  • Cheese Croissant with Omani Chips
  • Midnight Beignets

Haloumi Salad- Comprise of fresh green leaves with fried haloumi on side was filling yet light on stomach.

Vada Pav- It was exciting to see some desi items in the menu, I wont rate it as authentic in taste but it was not bad either.

Falafel Pav- I tried it first time in my life and my tastebuds approved its taste. The falafel stuffing was soft and layered between dips and fresh buns

Cheese Croissant- The french version of croissant stuffed with cheese and a twist of omani chips is something you all need to try. Crispy exterior with gooey cheese inside topped with crunchy omani chips makes an interesting combination to enjoy!

Shakshuka- Okay this is the star dish on our table. Fried egg on the bed on tomato puree was a pure joy to try. I would highly recommend this one for sure

In dessert we got to try Midnight Beignets a fried doughnut served along with creamy buttery sauce. The sauce notch up the dish in taste otherwise it was a little hard and lack in sweet taste but yes the presentation was simply yet elegant and I couldn’t stop and took many pics of it 🙂

Don’t forget to try Karak Tea here with saffron hint, Ah!!! it was amazing I couldnt help but to ask for its second round. No wonder I would stop again at Midnight Breakfast Cafe for Shakshuka and Karak Tea.
