Castello Cafe- Jumeirah 1

Another culinary experience with the name of Castello Cafe located in Jumeirah 1. Although the place is not new and many out there are already know this place for its Arabic food and Sheesha. Recently taken over by a new management this place has aim to rediscover the menu with an array of dishes satisfying the taste buds of local and desi peeps. So in short you can find Arabic and Indian choices easily with some continental options.

Menu makes you to take sometime to makeup your mind what to order or what not. Who doesn’t like good food with live entertaining session, this place pull the right string with live sessions, sheesha and mouthwatering food. Session starts after 9pm

Service here won’t make you feel odd like not giving attention or disturbing again and again. The chef came to meet us in person and it was so good to see how much dedicated he sounds while explaining all the dishes.

We started by ordering cold and batata hara as hot mezze, the warm and fresh bread served us with hummus made our start the best.  Next we indulged in Ceaser Salad which was all fresh and taste as amazing as it should be. Not to forget the comforting lentil soup made me all charged up for the rest of the food.

Chef brought us a beet root chaat, for a chaat lover like us it was no less than a treat. Visually appealing and taste crunchy is a must try there!

Chicken Fajita come with a sizzling sound and definitely compels you to dig in.  Biryani lover? you have got a chicken and meat choice. I couldn’t resist but to order chicken one and did all the justice by finishing it 😉

Mix grill was another choice of us but it couldn’t impress us coz I found this dish a bit confused in terms of taste weather am having a Arabic mix grill or Indian kebab platter.

Chicken Angara came on a cute charcoal grill, love the way it was presented. Half of it was more than enough for us with many other dishes. Well marinated and cooked in a perfect way that it was all soft and juicy till the last bite.

Ok now am not gonna tempt you further with description you need to go and experience for yourself. After having a hearty meal we satisfied our sweet buds with kunafa topped with blueberry cream. Oh My God it was different and totally match made in heaven. We relished each bite of it and washed down all the food with a hot cup of Karak Tea. Nothing is like a hot tea in a small glass after a sumptuous dinner.
