Recently I have been to an Indian restaurant by the name Bombay to Mumbai. This place is tucked away in Marco Polo Hotel in Al Muteena area. The place has simple interiors with art pieces inspired from Mumbai which totally emits authentic vibes of Mumbai culture.
We were there on thursday night , buffet was on full swing and I could see many families sitting there enjoying food already that shows the restaurant is popular among Dubai humans. The restaurant has tried to depict the journey of Bombay to Mumbai through its dishes. From traditional presentation to fusion dishes all depart a story in this indian restaurant.
So what we tried there?
In starters we were firstly presented pani puri shots and dahi puri. Being a chaat lover its always a delightful experience to start with such crispy crunchy bites. Thoroughly enjoyed each and made my appetite ready for the big things.
Mutton kalonji seek kebab were treat to eyes, they came out on a black try beautifully presented and tasted equally good. We had it with green chutney that was served along with it.
Nankish a fusion of desi and Arabic. Imagine a desi base that is naan topped with ingredients that makes it a version of Pizza OMG drooling!!! Loved each bite of it. A starter option that we devoured in no time 😉
Murgh Malai Kaba– Soft and tender like pillow, small cubes of murgh malai kabab was well marinated and cook to perfection. If you are kabab lover then definitely you will enjoy eating it.
After having so much in starters our table got covered with mains like Mutton Biryani, Butter Chicken and Paneer Curry. Mutton biryani was full of flavor and butter chicken and paneer we tried with butter naan. Let me inform you butter naan were so lavishly covered with butter so one needs to forget the calories for enjoying it truly 😀
In dessert we got to try Gajarale truffle, another fusion attempt of desi gajarela covered with white chocolate in truffle form. Ok I admit I didn’t enjoy it that much, in my humble opinion both the taste didn’t do justice with the dish.
Lastly, we ordered for Karark Tea and washed down all with a hot cuppa. The staff here is friendly and ready to accommodate you with smiling face.
Thank you so much Bombay to Mumbai for having us and made our evening beautiful with delectable food and live session of melodies songs.
