Biryani Street

A good new for biryani lover. Biryani street a quirky place tucked away in Golden Mile in Palm Jumeriah offers some delectable Indian food with the specialty of biryani, grilled items and desi desserts.

The interiors are funky yet relatable to traditional style. Menu is quite impressive and puts you in a situation what to order or what not 🙂 We started by ordering Lemon mint and passion fruit drinks to quench our thirst.

In starters we tried Dhansu Aloo, small potatoes chunks marinated with indian spices and had a flavor of smoke. It come on our table with sizzling sound and the drama of smoke made us excited and without any delay we feasted on it and simply enjoyed it!

In main course we ordered Non- Veg Mix Platter, Dal Tadka, Chicken Tawa, Fish Masala and Chicken Biryani with some fresh breads. Non- veg mix platter is a treat for a carnivores soul, freshly grilled meat, prawns and chicken kababs cooked in clay oven compels you to finish the whole platter in one go. For me Malai Chicken and Fish Ajwain. were winner out of all the varieties. Fish Ajwain was as soft and easily broken with the edge of fork. Apart from these two my partner seemed to enjoy reshmi kabab and pahari tikka as well.

Dal Tadka was light and flavorful in taste we had it with parsley and garlic naan.  Garlic naan is something you can eat on it own seriously! It was that good. In curry we opted for manager’s choice Chicken Tawa and Fish Masala and didn’t regret at all. Fish masala cooked in mustard seeds and tomato gravy was finger licking and went well with garlic naan and chicken tawa was rich texture gravy cooked with onion and tomatoes topped with pieces of bell pepper. Bell pepper was not overpowering and had a quite balance taste with gravy.

Chicken Biryani was bomb! yes you read it righ. Earthy flavor, long grain rice and balanced spice level made Biryani street’s biryani an instant hit on our table. Now my favorite biryani list has got one more name 😉

We ended our session with a hot cup of karak tea and no doubt Biryani Street certainly knows how to serve delectable Indian food. The service is prompt and courteous, am definitely gonna recommend this place for your next desi fix.
