Have you been to any authentic Emirati restro? You all have been many Lebanese and Turkish but am talking about Emirati one, if not head on to Milas tucked away in Dubai Mall in The Village. A place that gives a vintage and calm vibes even being a part of contemporary and fast pace Dubai Mall.
That was my second visit to The Village part of Dubai Mall near to ice ring. You can’t help but to take many pics here for you social media. The restaurant proudly serve emirati food amidst the coeval interiors and calming setting. Mirrored walls and beautifully adorned chandelier inside the restaurant is not less than visual treat.
They even have outdoor setup for sitting and we preferred to sit covered outdoors. Menu comes in an Ipad framed stand. From breakfast to appetizers, bites to the hearty main course you get plenty of choices here. So, What we choose here?
- Spicy Chicken
- Pizza Khodra
- Chicken Lalmass
- Fish Biryani
- Lemon Chicken Breast
- Chicken Emirati Pasta
- Milas Deyay Shiwa
- Dessert (Marsbar Cookie, Milkcake Sesame, Mystery of Oud)
We started our session with complimentary breads, chickpeas and hummus. Bread were fresh but were not that soft that I expect from emirati restaurants. They have different hummus variety and spicy hummus was served to us to accompany along the other dishes.
Pizza Khodra was just taste like pizza, it was stuffed with veggies. Light and cheese pull in it made our happy instantly. If you are calories conscious go for Chicken Lalmass, a healthy options that was filling yet light. It was made out of boneless chicken cooked in brown onion, tomato and yogurt gravy simmered in smoky fumes.
For biryani lovers I would recommend fish biryani, saffron flavored basmati rice with traditional cooked sea bream fish would definitely delight your taste buds.
Lemon Chicken is another fantastic option to try, marinated chicken cooked in creamy sauce served with luscious mash potatoes and sauteed veggies is a complete whole some meal.
In barbecue item from many choices we tried Milas Deyay Shiwa. Chicken cubeswell marinated in special spices served with choice of fries or rice on the side. The chicken was tender and don’t forget to order garlic paste with it to take the taste a notch up.
Even after all these variety you crave for pasta, don’t worry Milas got you covered. Try Emirati chicken pasta and satisfy you cravings by having it in the choice of pink or white sauce.
Now, let talk about the desserts. Just like savory items they amaze you with sweet options. Just by looking all the desserts you would compel to order all, I bet! We avoid eating lots of sweets but couldn’t help to order not 1 but 3. Indulgence in every bite either you try mars bar cookies, freshly baked big chocolate cookie topped with marsbar, mascarpone ice-cream and coffee sauce or soft gooey Milk Cake Sesame topped with halwa cream and pistachio. If you want to experience some magical then try Mystery of Oud, delicate presentation of sweets in a scented experience. Presentation on point and the white chocolate butterfly is not less than a art.
After all this hearty meal we asked for Karak Tea and enjoyed every sip by basking the beauty of surroundings. The service was on point in the start but don’t know why it lowered down at the end of our session.
Overall, my experience was good and I would totally recommend this place to my followers. Thank you Milas for having me 🙂
