Have a taste of Dhaba in Urban Style. Dhaba lane formerly know as Khan Dhaba is all what you need if you crave for dhaba style food. Even the simple food here is presented in a uber cool way and taste amazing!
Last Friday I visited this place, parking maybe a struggle in weekdays but who cares when you want to enjoy some good food right ? From menu to the ambiance this place surprised me in every way. Frankly speaking I was not expecting a place in Karama has given so much importance to every detail. Great job guys!
They mainly serve North Indian food with some Pakistani variety, so you get to relish amazing taste from both India and Pakistan. The head chef greeted and enlightened us with the information about this restaurant. Starters
Our session started with amuse bouche, black lemon shikanji served in shots glasses. The kick of black lemon cleans up your taste buds by neutralizing and make them all ready to indulge in treat.

In starters, if you are a chaat buff like me Purani Dilli ki Papdi Chaat will definitely make you happy. It was cold but the crispy papdri made it all crunchy and tasty. Dahi ka kabab came on our table in aesthetically pleasing way, seriously it was feel like am in some fine dining restaurant. Soft gooey balls from inside and crispy exterior kababs, were one of the perfect starters. Tandoori Prawns was light and infused in lemon taste where as Raan Sikhampuri is a good choice for mighty hearts. Roasted lamb leg cooked over charcoal marinated in barbecue spices with chilli pepper oil . Pudina Seekh came in a cute dish with a magical drama of fumes. If I hadn’t had to try other dishes I would have finished it all. Another street food Pani Puri was served in a notch up way with three different flavored water. Seriously this place present everything in an attractive way and you feel like to eat with your eyes first.
In Main Course

Desi Malai Kofta a vegetarin dish cooked in pumpkin gravy, a little sweet in taste. Mast Wala Keema aur Chaap came along with small kafir lime pao (buns) . Dal Makhan Maar Ke was the star dish served in well shaped pot. According to the chef it was cooked for 36 hours surprised? I know but the taste and creamy texture proves its long process cooking. Shamelessly I had spoon after spoon of it, completely comforting in every way. If you want to try something in curry then Dhaba Chicken Curry is an apt choice. Chicken curry came exactly in Dhaba Style and impressed us with its flavorful taste. Breads basket has assorted variety of breads like Pudina Paratha, Mirch Pyaz ka Paratha all that goes well with the curry and daal.
Desserts

After having all such tantalizing food we were excited to try desserts and good news is, Dhaba Lane didn’t disappoint us at all. Quirky names of the dishes on the menu is a highlighted part of this place. We got to try Chenna Cheese Cake which is fusion of desi and international ingredients but glad to inform all the ingredients taste blends beautifully well and yes don’t forget to try Tilli Walli kulfi here in Dhaba Lane, so apt for this hot weather and reminds you of your childhood days, when kulfi was one of the fun thing to eat.

We ended our session on a cup of Hot Cutting Tea and made our way happily back home. Do try out this place for your desi food fix, am sure the food presentation will make you feel like as if eating in some fine dining restaurant.
