My hunt for good desi restaurants in Dubai takes me to different places and last Friday I thought to try this fairly new restaurant Karachi Grill located in Jumeirah 2. Karachi Grill’s main aim is to provide authentic desi taste amidst of friendly environment, where you can relax and have good time with family and friends.
The place is spacious sprawling on two floors, the upper floor is most of the time dedicated to parties and function. So keep this option in mind for your next party, affordability without compromising on the quality of food is difficult to find anywhere else.
I was delighted to see the interiors and the impeccable service they are providing without burning your pocket in such posh area.
I took my family there who was visiting me from Canada, so obviously wanted to make them happy with delish food in a calm atmosphere was my utmost priority. The Burj Khalifa view from this place is an added feature. Wall to wall windows let the natural light lit the place effortlessly.
Now am gonna tell you about what you should order from here and thank me later!
They welcome you with welcome drink shot, a concoction of apple & pineapple and complimentary crackers to munch while you wait for your food.
Start your session with Chaat and am not talking about any normal chaat, they serve you Murgh Tikka Chaat which is a notch up version of ordinary chaat. Freshly prepared veggies tossed with in house spices and chicken tikka pieces, topped with papdri. Being a street food buff I couldn’t ask for a better start.
For other best choice in starters are Dynamite Shrimps, here the taste is not exactly the classic recipe instead a bit sour but definitely worth trying!
Let move to the mains, some delectable choices were
- Karachi Seekh Kabab
- Peri Peri Chicken
- Chandni Chowl Ka kaeema
- Chilmun Biryani Chicken
- Naan Basket
Kababs are one of the most famous BBQ item in South Asian countries, if you are one of those who likes to eat it then go for the Karachi Seekh Kabab, minced meat marinated in Pakistani spices and cooked to perfection would definitely impress you.
Peri Peri Chicken, this is something I would highly recommend. It sounds like a very spicy dish but in real I found it not very fiery. The skewer is aroma of capsicum in chicken and some secret spices makes it totally worth trying.
Not to forget the service here is on point, each server know the menu well and they serve you by making you feel at ease. I would like to specially mention Imran here, who made the whole session indelible for us. Do ask for imran when you dine there 🙂
Chandni chowk ka keema and Chilmun biryani was our server choice and I confess delightfully we didn’t regret by going with his choices. Both the dishes won our heart instantly and even our guest seemed super glee with the taste.
In bread basket we got to try assorted naan but my favorite was Kalonji Naan, distinctive flavor went very well with our chandi chowl ka keema. Writing all this right now has made me hungry again 🙂 Karachi Grill no wonder you are gonna see me soon.
We were so full by this time but our polite and friendly server imran suggested us to try Milk Cake in dessert and we couldn’t say No even being full tummy housing all the above delectable items but you won’t believe we all gobbled it in no time and that explains the all 😀
After all this oh-so-good food we all crave for Karak Tea but to my amazement they serve only english breakfast tea which we didn’t want to have but again our Super Server Imran rescue us by going extra mile and made us Karak Tea specially for us. Full marks for the service indeed and only one word for the tea… SUPERB!!!
Karachi Grill has definitely made to my list of Best Desi Food Restaurants in Dubai. All my followers do check them out and let me know what you think about the food here. Until next time…Happy Eating 🙂
