3rd Avenue Cafe- Dubai Mall

Dubai Mall is one of those places in Dubai where yo get plenty of choices not only in brands but for the dine in options too. Recently I have been invited to 3rd Avenue cafe for a review and I wonder why I never tried this place before. The place is perfect for guests visiting you, they can enjoy good food with the never cease to amaze view of Burj Khalifa and Dubai fountain.

Went there last Friday for a lunch. Tthey serve breakfast uptil 12, so we opted for the lunch menu. You can choose from the menu on IPAD with the exact idea of your order just by seeing the visuals of the dishes, isn’t it convenient? Usually lunch time on Fridays are not that busy in restaurants but It was good to see the number of people sitting and relishing the food with the families, that shows the already fame of it.

Now lets talk about what I ordered here, after going through the menu we decided to order new additions to the menu like Chiken Taco, Croquette Potato, Grilled Jumbo Shrimps etc

In Starters we had Chicken Taco, a Mexican fare filled with chicken, mix cheese, spicy sauce served in crispy tortilla bread. It was creamy and bursting with flavors.

Being a big potato buff I couldn’t help but to order Croquette Potato, mashed potato mixed with veggies and cheddar sauce, it was goodness in every bite and make sure to have it with the sauce served along and homemade Guacamole.

Dynamite shrimps were also available in starters but we preferred to have it in chicken and seriously we didn’t regret by ordering it. Crispy and tender chicken bites cooked to perfection were a big delight to our palates. Must try!

Good news for those who adores burger and sandwiches, they have decent variety and my recommendation is lip-smacking Chicken Burger all the way 😉

After having a blast in starters we were now excited to have our main course. Grilled Jumbo Shrimps and Fresh Salmon were our choices.

Grilled Jumbo this dish tastes as appetizing as it sounds! topped with herbs mushed potato and a bit spicy version of cheddar sauce, truly awesome 🙂

Looking for a healthier alternative try Salmon. My review sessions are never complete without trying out salmon (if its available on the menu). Salmon was moist and cooked the way I like, served on the bed of wild rice. It was my first time trying such rice, brown and white color rice were cooked in flavorful way that I could eat them alone 😉

Not to forget the desserts here are mind-blowing, visually appealing and toothsome in taste. Emerald cake and Chocolate stacks satisfied our sweet cravings. Stacks is a new addition in the menu, dulce chocolate and coffee mousse stacked between the tempered chocolate thin slabs which you can enjoy with luscious mascarpone icecream. However the emerald cake was average in taste.

We ended our session on a cup of hot tea and made our way happily back home. I am definitely going back for trying out the breakfast menu soon. Do check out this place for a good food with a view.
