BBQ Delights – Riverland Branch

BBQ delight is an amazing option for those who loves to indulge in mouthwatering BBQ items. Mostly Pakistani restaurants here in Dubai trying to cater Indian and Pakistani Palates seems confused with the use of spices and the flavors. Even being the same genre of dishes in Indo Pak, the flavors are some what slightly different in both the regions.  Like some spices are more obvious in south indian food in the same way north has different flavor but more close to the Pakistani taste.

I have been invited to riverland brand located in Dubai Parks and Resorts. Riverland is one of my favorite places for trolling specially if the weather is kind, so my excitement was obvious but at the same time little skeptical about the standard and service of this lunch as I knew that they are only catering the crowd of riverland. I went there last Friday lunch time and was amazed by the reasonable amount of customers relishing the brunch with family.

As you enter the place you can’t miss the famous Pakistani truck art wall right in front of you. The place is spacious enough to throw a party or a gathering, kids were busy in doing some coloring provided by the staff here. Buffet and Ala cart both are available here and since we were there at the lunch time, so preferred to go with the lunch buffet and the courteous team of BBQ delight gave us the privileged to order from the menu if we want to try something out of the buffet 🙂

Now, lets talk about the buffet. There were reasonable options of curries both in veg and non-veg, delectable biryani and some mouthwatering BBQ items. Haleem was also there with all its condiments. Salad bar had selected but all my favorite Arabic and Pakistani healthy options.

My recommendation from the buffet is biryani, malai boti, mutton karhai, fried fish and if you are a veg person don’t forget to try daal, aaloo zera and palak paneer. Our server suggest us to try paneer tikka and even being a hard core non-veg we liked the tender well cooked pieces of paneer cubes. In bread we tried Afghani Naan, it is like a long oval roti, it was so fresh and hot that I could fill myself up with it alone.

Chaat, bhail puri and other snacks items are also the part of the menu and I couldn’t help but to order pani puri and chaat. I am a big big fan of pani puri and it was not less than a treat to try fresh and crispy pani puri with sour flavored water. One of the best I have tried so far in Dubai, however chaat couldn’t impress me much. I wish the chaat was bit warm and some papdri was served on the top of it.

In desserts there were many toothsome options like Shahi Tukray, Gulab Jaman, Gajar ka halwa and many more, since I am trying to avoid sweets in my diet so I skipped them and ended our culinary journey on the hot cup of Karak Tea. We even tried Masala Tea there and Karak Tea won our heart in every way.

I can safely say that BBQ delights is one of the best restaurant in Dubai for Pakistani/Indian taste and riverland branch is now in my favorites list. Do try this place out and let me know what do you think about this place in the comments.
