So I spent my Valentine’s Day at one of the most sophisticated yet luxurious cafe that is Cafe Society. This place is a modern reflection of the golden age. From inspiring artists to connecting fashionable society, indulge your senses and let the hours pass like seconds. The glamours setting amidst of fine dining concept imbued with luxury sets your mood for intimate dining experience.
Since we were there on Valentine’s Day so we got to try their special set menu exclusively to celebrate the love day. Everything was set according to the theme, each table had roses to greet the customers coming to celebrate this day.
The place is located in Tamani Marina Hotel so the parking was not an issue thanks to valet system. After crossing the hotel lobby, take right you will reach to this contemporary style Cafe Society. The entrance is decorated with full size mirrors and I couldn’t help but to take pics there. After setting down on our reserved table we started our culinary experience.
Our dinner start with complimentary bread basket served along with smoked honey butters. Small cheesy bread was amazing I wish I could have second round of it.
In salads we had Salmon Mango Gateau and Watermelon Marinated Carpaccio. Both were delectable and I can’t express my excitement just be seeing the beauty of plating of each dishes. Extra points for that!
As a 1st and 2nd course we got to try Seafood soup and Apricot Tortellini with Pomegranate Sauce. The seafood pumpkin cassoulet was rich in every sip, specially the broth was so comforting that I finished it in no time where as the our 2nd course apricot tortellini couldn’t impress me much, its not that it was not good in taste but it was not as per my personal taste.
The manager was courteous enough to give us liberty to order even outside the set menu and we plunge on this idea by ordering main course from the regular menu. My husband Marinated Grilled Chicken Breast and I opted for my all time favorite Salmon. Grilled chicken was well marinated and grilled perfectly served on the bed of mashed potato with some fresh greens. Thyme sauce along with grilled chicken made the whole dish so tempting for tastebuds. My pan grilled salmon was as soft as it should be and cooked exactly the way I like to eat, saffron lemon sauce was complimenting the taste well, however the purple potato gnocchi was average in taste.
We ended our session on a sweet note, Valentine’s day themed Raspberry mousse heart with chilly chocolate sauce was the perfect way to end our date night. This heart shape cake surprise you with another heart on the second layer as you cut through.
While leaving I was presented red rose and a customized chocolate box, which truly touched my heart. Thank yo Cafe Society for you hospitality.
This place impressed me not just with the food but with the exquisite interiors as well. I am definitely going back again to try their regular menu and wouuld definitely recommend this place for you special events and friends gathering.
