Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai has added a new dining outlet to its hotel – the DXB Grill. The restaurant features contemporary classic decor with a new dining concept that encompasses tender meat served on skewers or swords, a sushi bar, customized steak. Last week I was invited there to try this new restaurant.
Being a grill food lover I was excited to try this new place. Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai is the Middle East’s Leading Airport 4-star Hotel, winner of the World Travel Awards, conveniently located with in the reach of Dubai Airport and other landmarks, exploring the city is very easy.
Dim lights, contemporary setup that what make this place a perfect spot for date night or special event. Divided into two room one with a sushi bar and seafood counter whereas the other more traditional dining area. The menu is also huge, covering seafood, tandoori dishes, rotisserie, sushi and steak.
We swang into the evening by ordering these dishes
- Subji Pudina Shorba
- Ceaser Salad
- Tandoori Chicken
- Tenderloin 220g
- Salmon Fillet
- Drinks (Tuyen and Exotica)
In drinks we ordered Tuyen and Exotica. If you like sweet and sour taste try Tuyen, its a combo of mango, orange juice, gingerale and mint leaves. For tangy flavor go for the Exotica where cranberry being the main ingredient makes a perfect blend with orange and lemon juice, soda water sweetened with simple syrup.
In starters we opted for sushi, soup and ceaser salad. Nothing is like a fresh sushi specially my favorite Californian maki.
Evening are pleasant these days, so ordering a soup was must. Despite having beef and chicken option we went for vegetarian. Clear veggie broth with mint and fine strips of root vegetables were thin in consistency but was delightful in taste.
Ceaser Salad was the star in the starters. It came in a unconventional presentation, all the leafy green filling was stuffed in big ball sized crouton topped with prawns and Parmesan.
In main course my husband asked for Steak and seemed happy with its taste and how it was cooked. On the other hand I am a Salmon lover and my followers know how much I like to try Salmon and good thing is I didn’t regret to order here. It was fabulously cooked served along with truffle mash potatoes and sauce to accompany the flavor. We were totally full but couldn’t resist to try Tandoori Chicken which they marinate overnight with spices and yogurt. However I felt raw taste of spices as if it needed more time to cook but still I relish it with green chutney that came along with it.
Dessert menu is limited but has some delectable options. Out of six options we select Oreo Cheesecake and Agar Pana Cotta Brulee. Both were toothsome and happily finished our culinary experience on a cup of green tea.
My husband and I both had a good time here with palatable food and prompt service.
