Yummy Belgian Waffles- Mirdriff City Center

Yummy Waffles specializes in quality Belgian Waffles since 2013 .The company inherits the original recipe of the Liege Waffle that features pearl sugar that caramelizes on the outside of the waffle and melts inside when baked, giving it a soft yet crunchy texture.

The ability to maintain the rich heritage through the waffle without compromising on the quality of ingredients over the years has made the business grow to new heights and gain the trust of new clientele.

Yummy Waffles is a cafe specialized in authentic Belgian waffles enjoyed with variety of toppings such as chocolate, jams, honey, ice creams and Nutella. You can also get assorted crepes as well.

I visited this place with my friend in their Mirdriff branch located at the first level of the mall. The place is decorated in contemporary style with good lightnings. Yummy waffles has notched up the menu by adding some savory items to it. I was invited to review the new menu which is comprised of sandwiches, salads and local dishes full of proteins.

We started our experience by ordering juices and then moved to our choices like Shakshouka, Ceaser Salad, Grilled Salmon Sandwich and Waffle.

Shakshouka as we all know is a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, chili peppers, and onions, often spiced with cumin. The color of the dish was extra red, we enjoyed it with the bread basket served along with it. The egg yolks were runny but I wish they were little more cooked so that I couldn’t feel the raw taste.

Ceaser Salad was the star, romaine lettuce and croutons dressed with parmesan cheese, lemon juice, olive oil with chicken pieces. Fresh and light salad was finished in no time from our table.

Grilled Salmon Sandwich was layered with cream cheese, salmon, onion rings and tomatoes.It was average in taste so couldn’t impress me much.

In last saved the best- Waffles. This place has amazing variety of Waffles and Crepes with different toppings and sauces. Strawberry Waffles was our choice that came in a delightful presentation, cone filled with icecream and strawberry placed on the top of the waffle. It was soft and best part it was not very sweet which tastefully balanced the sweetness of the vanilla icecream

I regret I should have tried more flavors of the waffles there as they are specialized in it. One suggestion they need to work on the training of their staff  as I felt they lack in warm welcome and seemed working without any interest. However this place is a good option if you are shopping in the mall and wants to have a quick bite or for sweet cravings, do check this place out.
