I got to try this new menu at the blogger’s event this weekend where we all got to try assorted dishes. We all started our session with Cheese Platter, Olive Selections, Jam Selections,Tomato Cucumber Platter and then moved to the Menemen, Soudjuk Egg, Pastrami Pepper for having authentic experience of Turkish food.
Menemen this gutsy dish is genuine street food and a brilliant family dish for breakfast and brunch. This light, juicy version of scrambled eggs and vegetables that are great for dipping bread was delightful to our palates.
Soudjuk Egg a typical breakfast dish includes peyniri (Turkish cheese) and sujuk, a spicy, cured beef sausage. Usually it is prepared by cutting into slices and fried with eggs, and because sujuk has such a high fat content no additional oil is required in preparation.
Pastrami Pepper was a meat product made from beef but I didn’t try cause I was busy indulging in high protein food.
Pita With Cheese, Pitaith Sesame, Sesame Bagel, Pastry Dough, Ballon Bread were there to accompany the eggs and other items. I preferred to relish all the breads with different dips like Tahini, Nutella, Honey and Mollases.
Turkish Tea was coming through out the session on our table. It was a delightful experience to have a Turkish breakfast with an amazing view of Bur Khalifa and Fountain and the vibes were warm and let us sink in the authentic feel of Turkish cuisine.
