Its always exciting to be like a explorer in your own city. Dubai is one of those metropolitan city that has many more options for dwellers to traverse about. Last weekend I packed my bags and went for a staycation in an impressive four-star hotel in the Downtown Burj Dubai neighborhood.

Our check in was smooth as butter and we were ushered to our Deluxe Burj View room. Modern design with a traditional Arabesque flair define the inviting interiors of this Room, but by far the most captivating feature of the room is the view of the spectacular Burj Khalifa. Our room was spacious enough for two with plush white bed and a unique decor of Arabic Calligraphy on the head bed side. Office table at one side of the room and rest chair on other completes the decent arrangement. The bathroom here in white color gives you a feel of luxury with an oval big size tub in which you can dive like a little duckling and separate washroom and bath area. In Islamic Arabic culture they always prefer to have a separate toilet & bathing area and the same pattern you will notice here.

After filling our tummy with delicious spread we thought to take a look around to get to know to more about this place. Modern gym equipped with all facilities and swimming pool in which you can willow like a hippo are there for you health and entertainment.
We came back after a small tour and took a nap for good 2 hours to refresh ourselves for the evening. While we were sleeping we heard a knock on our door for refreshments and it was a platter of bite size delicacies, perfect for tea time.
In the evening we got ourselves up and made our moves to the courtyard where we supposed to have our dinner date. For all the details click here. For a night walk we ventured to the souq near to the hotel and then extended our walk to the streets where you will find many restaurants of every sort.
Across the road you can treat your eyes with Dubai Mall fountain dance without going all the way to the mall. Weather was comparatively bearable for strolling and I bet in coming days it would be more pleasant.
Coming back from our dinner we jumped into the bed and my husband start flicking the channels. Meanwhile I made two cups of hot tea with hot kettle available in the room. We sipped on it while enjoying the music and a spectacular night view of Burj Khalifa.
Next morning getting up from a baby sleep we rushed to our breakfast buffet again in Boulevard Kitchen. Breakfast here was a melody of international and Arabic variety. From waffles to Arabic bread and foul to cereals you have plenty of things to relish. Who wouldn’t like to have muffins with tea and thats how I had my carbohydrates in breakfast.
After having a hearty breakfast we packed our bags and I couldn’t help but to stand to savor the scenic scene of Burj View for some more time. I didn’t want to leave our whole experience was so comfortable and calm throughout the stay.
I would highly recommend this place for all the travelers who likes to stay within all the facilities like mall, souq, metro and restaurants. No wonder, I would go back again for another relaxing staycation here. Thank you so much Manzil for warm hospitality.
