Brunches are meant to be laid back, relaxed and usually a family fare. In Dubai brunch is more like a tradition and we have got plenty of options for the same. From International to Arabic and from Italian to Indo Pak whatever your palate desires you can easily find in this city.
Last weekend I got the chance to explore famed Boulevard Kitchen Brunch located in Manzil Hotel. This place is all about Arabic culture from the arabesque architecture to the food you will feel like dwelling in the arms of local culture.
We were welcomed by a very professional, friendly and attentive staff and our server walked us to our table. I could see the extensive buffet waiting for us to indulge in. The whole place was buzzing with families and there was a small area dedicated for kids, where they can eat and get entertained with cartoons on LED while their parents can enjoy their meal with a freedom.
From bread station to soup and from main course to the desserts this lavish spread has got something for everyone. I started out by filling my plate with starters, soup and some lip smacking items like Ouzi, roasted beef with mushroom sauce, steamed fish with some fresh breads to accompany the main course.
Chicken spring roll, spinach fatayer and shawarma were some of the starters. Shawarma was filling and spring rolls were exactly the way I like to eat, crispy exterior and chicken filling inside.
In drinks there was wide variety placed in glass tumblers placed on the crushed eyes in order to keep them cold through out the brunch. Other than these drink you can order frizzy drinks and tea separately.
The dessert station had many variety from international to Arabic. Um-e- Ali, kunafa, chocolate brownies and sponge cake were some of my favorite and I ended this delightful brunch with a hot cup of tea. Service was bit slow may be it was rush hour moreover weekend.
Overall, my experience here at this boulevard kitchen was delightful with many delectable Arabic options and warm hospitality.
