Yesterday, I visited this fairly new bakery located in Business Bay who just opened 6 months back with a aim of being different from the rest of the bakeries in the neighborhood. A devoted husband who kept this bakery name on his loving wife’s name and together they are proud to serve the traditional family recipes with a twist of contemporary style.
Don’t judge this place by its space, its maybe small but amazes you with stylish interior and food depths.
My friend and I got to try different variety of savory items as well as some mouthwatering desserts. The owner was there with us through out the session to know about our views and recommendations.
What you will find here?
From savory manakeesh to loaded pizza, soft filling buns to fresh braids that goes well with the cup of tea or coffee. The menu here is a melody of traditional and some present-time favorites which is quite interesting. Hot brewing coffee, fresh juice and lemonades are also part of their menu.
My Recommended Items:
- Manakeesh 3 in 1 (Zaatar, cheese with flayfleeh)
- Bisso Chicken (The difference)
- Date honey and tahini flower
- Lahim bi ajeen (baladi)
- Fresh assorted Buns
- Rose lemonade
Manakeesh with flayfleeh is a spicy version with a hint of zaatar and cheese, it was my first time trying spicy manakeesh. Beware if you can’t handle the heat in this hot weather.
Bisso Chicken is something that will definitely win your heart for sure. It has everything that would delight your tastebuds like smoked chicken, mushrooms, cream and a think layer of cheese.
If you are meat lover then don’t forget to try Lahim Bin Ajeen Baladi one, stuffed with minced meat cooked in pomegranate molasses.
Desserts are the highlight of my experience here in Bisso everything I tried here from fresh assorted buns with filling like nutella, butter scotch, date honey to cinnamon puffs, really made me happy to visit this place. The owner Mr. Said wanted us to try lots of items but we were totally full after all the delectable savory and sweet delicacies.
Do check this place out and def on my next visit I would try their wraps and pizza
