I simply love the idea of casual high end restaurants, that seems quite popular these days in Dubai. You can find many now and the best thing, they believe in serving best quality food without burning a hole in your pocket.
Roux is in the same league and offers you mouthwatering options although they have a limited menu but still all are good options to try. The interiors are simple mainly with wooden setup, that surely invites you to sit and enjoy in this laidback and warm cafe.

My Experience:
They have a main counter at one side of the cafe, displaying mouthwatering delicacies to choose from. The staff here is attentive and make sure that your experience goes smoothly.
Me and my husband was there for a lunch and ordered some of their best.
What we ordered?
- Ultimate fries
- Roux Club
- Grilled Salmon
- Tenderloin Medallions
We started our session by ordering fresh juices, I opted for watermelon whereas my partner for carrot juice. Both were refreshing and enliven our senses in that scorching weather and a basket of fresh bread came with butter and sauce to munch while waiting for our order.
I am a big french fries lovers and ordering not wouldn’t be justice with myself so I ordered one of their famous ultimate fries that came tossed in garlic, parsley, chives, jalapenos and flavorful parmesan cheese. This is something not to be missed here.
Roux Club was our choice from the classic of the menu. Toasted freshly bread with shredded roast chicken layered with fried egg, crispy beef beacon, romaine lettuce, tomatoes and belgium mayo. It was filling and came along with fries and garden salad.
In main my husband being a meat lover ordered Australian meat steak, well done that served with honey roast and accompanied by a Dijon and wholegrain blended bread. It was not the best one according to my husband, for him it was average one in taste.
After having fries and sandwich I thought to try their grilled salmon, it came on the bed of grilled asparagus, slow roasted cherry tomatoes and drizzled with pesto sauce. If you are calories conscious or in diet then this one is the best choice. I thoroughly enjoyed this hearty meal and finished it in no time.
This place is definitely worth a try, you will get good option of international food with some laid-back atmosphere. I am definitely going back to try their dessert menu which I couldn’t this time.
