Recently I have been invited to this newly launched but already acclaimed restaurant in Mumbai(India). Here Dukes Dubai has welcomed this award wining restaurant to its collection of restaurants with an official opening on last Tuesday in the presence of Abdulla Bin Sulayem CEO of Seven Tides.
This place boast 180 degree of panoramic view that take in Dubai Eye and Marina Skyline, can accommodate upto 162 guests.Aesthetically, the new Dubai restaurant features the same ethnic style as the flagship restaurant, Khyber at Dukes Dubai has imported the DNA of the established restaurant of India, while giving it a contemporary twist.
Owner, Sudheer Bhal said, ” Khyber is an iconic name, anybody who talk about Mumbai, knows about our restaurant and Dukes Dubai is the only venue that can recreate its splendor, the hotel is palatial, regal and looks magnificent”.
The menu is extensive based on traditional north indian cuisine like fish, lamb, chicken and vegetarian recipes. Signature highlights include Tandoori Raan, khyber spiced marinade, Maki ki Tikki, Corn Patties, Pomfret etc. The menu also features nine different types of roti(breads).
My favorites from the lunch were Biryani, Crispy Potatoes, creamy Daal Makhni, spicy and tender Lamb Shank. In desserts we got to try traditional indian sweets like Kulfi, Gajar ka Halwa. Kulfi was bit over sweet so I preferred to hog on gajar ka halwa and ended up with second helping.
Now, lets see how Dubai Humans accept this new fine dining option imported directly from India and how tough time it gives to its competitors who are already doing great in the market like Farzi.
