A Hidden Gem In Karama

Today I got a chance to explore this bijou cosy place boasting traditional punjabi style not just with the food but even the interiors transports you to the classic dhaba. The wall art and sitting arrangement are in harmony with the theme.

I was there with my friend at lunch time, luckily we got our car parked easily just few steps away from the restaurant. If you are not that clever to guess it just by the name but upon entering this place you guess it instantly that your taste buds gonna get a punjabi tarka. Punjabi food is famous for its rich flavors and spice levels and the food here is a true depiction of traditional punjabi palates.

Our session started with limo pani, perfect for quenching thirst and making you refresh. First dish that came on our table was Amritsari Fish Tikka. Small bite size fish pieces marinated well in tikka masala, were like melt in the mouth. Hara Bhara Kabab were green colored kababs decorated with cashew in the middle. Even being a non-veg I thoroughly enjoyed it, specially the crunch added by the cashew. Chicken Meethi Garlic and Veg Punjabi Kofta both were tasteful and went well with the garlic freshly made breads. Mutton Chop Masala was something which my friend seemed to like it more. Daal Tadika was simple yet relishing and Chicken Biryani was superb in taste. Being a biryani lover it was like a treat to me and I couldn’t stop but to fill my plate again and again.

In dessert we were supposed to try stick kulfi and gulab jaman but unfortunately kulfi was not available at that time, so we satisfied our sweettooth with soft, juicy gulab jaman and made our way happily back with happy tummy.

I would definitely recommend this place. From food to services everything was on point and wouldn’t be heavy on your pocket , do try it out and you would love it!
