I don’t dispute that we’re busy people living in a busy world, we usually don’t get time to take off from our busy schedule but with continuous work when we stretch ourselves just a bit beyond that productivity zone and we might feel unfocused, zoned out or even irritable. Now, the problem is, its not feasible every time to plan a vacations and fly away. Valid point! in that situation having a short break within the city by booking a room in good hotel or resort, works the same.

Last week I made a great escape for some much needed respite as being a photographer and a blogging keeps me engaged all the time.Leaving the hustle and bustle of Dubai behind,my husband and I travel just mere miles from one emirates to another to find solitude along the open beach of Sharjah.

I have always been a loyal fan of Starwood hotels and no wonder,I always intent to find starwood hotels for my staycation wherever I travel. You won’t find less than luxury, comfort and state-of-the-art concept in the hotels associated with them and Sheraton is one of them.

I must admit, its one of the best hotel in the vicinity of Sharjah. From the Arabesque inspired exterior to modern interiors this place inspires you instantly. This extensive property is equipped with all the modern and relevant facilities for an indelible stay experience.

About Sheraton Sharjah:

Nestled on one of the last remaining stretches of open, uninterrupted palm-fringed beaches in the Emirate, and with its own private beach, the Sheraton is also centrally located for easy access to key gateways and hotspots

After smooth check-in process, we got to know that our deluxe room is upgraded to deluxe room with balcony by the courteous hotel management. We were then ushered to the 6th floor. The corridor that led us to the room was clean and looked welcoming. Upon entering to our room my eyes caught the welcoming note on the room LCD, which made me feel excited and the feeling pushed to another level by seeing a welcome note on the bed. These personal touches gives you feel like a home away from home.

The facilities our room had

The bathroom was big enough like twice the size of the room. Luxurious bathtub was installed there with separate shower area, equipped with rain shower. If we get down to the details the washbasin counter had mounted magnifying mirror, basic toiletries, bathrobes, slippers and enough amount of towels for two person.

This resort not only has private beach but two swimming pools are also there. They have a separate area for kids pool as well. Other than that you can go for a therapeutic massage in their Shine Spa or  work out in the gym. I would like to mention here the gym facility is not very hi-tec but has all the basic machines that are enough for a staycation workout.

Sunset view from the beach

After roaming around and visiting the facilities I slept till the iftar time. Our iftar was at AL Hosn Ballroom, a lavish iftar priced at AED 129. After iftar we made our way happily to our room and preferred to sit in the balcony which had a beautiful view of beach and swimming pool, in night the place was glittering and felt like the whole place is adorned with stars. Even its summer the cool breeze was calming the whole scene and I was doing nothing but absorbing the scenic view of that place.

For sehri we were supposed to dine at Al Mahatta but it was closed temporarily and the arrangements were made in Gusti restaurant, which is a all day dining restaurant. There was a decent variety with some delectable desserts. With heavy eyes I came back to my room and slept like a baby on the plushy comfortable white bed. I woke up early just to witness the sunrise and get down to the beach to took some pictures. I wish it was winters I could spend my whole day on the beach chair witnessing the gushing waves of the beach.

I slept again and woke up around 12 which is a usual check out time but the lovely management allowed us to check out late. I rushed to take a bath and get ready to leave this place but with heavy heart as I was not ready to end this surreal experience and was thinking why every good thing comes to an end.

Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa is no doubt one of the best seaside gathering place for short getaways, extended holidays and sumptuous local dining.
