If you are living in Dubai, you get to taste many Levantine dishes throughout your stay and come to a point where you can distinguish between authentic or fusion. I have been living here for the last 2.5 years (yeah I know its not too long) but being a foodie I have been to many places and has developed quite a taste for this Levant food. Yesterday, I got a chance to try this famous franchise Zaroob, although I’ve crossed across this restaurant a couple of times but never got a chance to try it out.
This flag outlet at sheikh zayed road remains open for 24 hours, so if late night cravings strike you, now you know where to head when everything else is closed.
In their Iftar menu what you will get?
We got to try their Iftar set menu . I always encourage set menu as it helps to avoid wastage. In menu you can choose one drink between Jalab and Amar-Al-Din, served with dates.
Then we were served warm creamy lentil soup. It was so much comforting that I could have its second helping (don’t judge me please). In salad you have a choice between Fattoush and Tabbouleh. I love the fact the serving size of salad is good enough to share with two people. In main course we got to try two dishes okra with meat served along with rice and other one was fish that was served on a bed of rice. Both were amazing and light on stomach. It true that right after Iftar, you always like to have something light and filling. Last but not the least in dessert we indulge in a platter of assorted Fatayer, if you are real sweet tooth, you can’t say no to any Arabic sweet, specially if they are toothsome like the ones I tried here.
We ended our session with a hot cup of karak tea and happily made our way to home. I am definitely going back to try their regular menu as I could see some delicious breads and shawarma orders going on other tables.
If you are looking for a quality iftar in a reasonable price then this place is worth trying out. The whole menu priced only AED 68/- .This place is easily accessible as its located on main sheikh zayed road and between Emirates Tower and Financial metro station.
