Desi food is an integral part of my life. I have been growing up with these taste and my taste buds can easily differ between an average and delicious desi food. Last night I got a chance to try one of the famous indian restaurant India Palace although I am completing my 3rd year in Dubai and have been to many indian restaurants but don’t know how I was unable to venture this place before.
Iftar seasons is all about lavish spreads and variety be it at home or in restaurants. So, except the same here. The moment you enter through heavy wooden door, you know you are somewhere adorned with mughlia heritage. Every nook and corner of this place takes you back in the history and mesmerize you with wall to wall painting and traditional decor.
It was a bloggers event and its always a fun to be in such events where you get to meet acquainted and new faces and got feedback in no time.

One counter had many variety of fresh salads and it was all according to the theme not like many other where you get Arabic and Desi together. My favorites from the evening were Chicken Pakora, Chicken Biryani, Aloo Tikki and Adraki Aloo. Being a biryani fan it was delightful to eat this aromatic rice dish here,it was so flavorful.
In dessert there was Sabudana Kheer, Phirni and yummy Gulab Jaman. I can’t stress enough how much I loved warm gulab jaman, drenched in sugar syrup those delicious small balls were soft like pillow.
No wonder am going back to this place again for my desi fix. I can say without doubt if you like Indian food you would definitely like this place.
