Mitts & Trays a homegrown brand by the UAE’s first female Emirati Chef Patron, Amna Al Hashemi tucked away at City Walk,one of the Meraas iconic properties.With a simple ethos based around ‘food that is good for you’, Amna has created a concept that blends gourmet quality with a warm homey approach.
I got a chance to try this chic and elegant cafe last week and the place instantly won my heart. This place is well lid and boast white crisp interiors,comfy sofa and communal tables give you sense of home feeling.They have outside seating too but we preferred to sit inside the cafe due to light.
We started our session by ordering drinks first. I got Passion Fruit and Ginger Ale and my husband got Mint Lemonade, both were refreshing but yes I would recommend to try passion fruit and ginger one.
Fresh bread hit our table along with basil butter,the first bite of it sent me on cloud 9,it was as soft as baby cheeks and tasted perfect with the butter.
Starters:

- Wagyu Sizzler
Batata Bravas something not to be missed if you are potato buff like me you would end it in no time,filling and heavenly in taste,potato cubes topped with sour cream,jalapenos and chives.
Wagyu sizzler– lava grilled wagyu lollipops on a bed of potato puree were soft and juicy cubes and could have second helping of it,if I hadn’t had to taste other items.
Salad:
Ceaser Salad– Chicken stips with fresh local romaine lettuce with ceaser dressing topped with chessy croutons, I asked Parmesan shaving separately so that I could add according to my liking.

In mains we ordered fish of the day and got grilled King Fish with white rice and mayo sauce. Fish was soft like clouds and cooked to perfection.
In sliders we ordered chicken ones,well coated fried southern style patties with chipostle mayo and crispy onions rings sandwich between buns.
They have many mouth watering desserts and pastries for your sweet indulgence. It was a difficult moment to decide what to try and what not. Everything on the display looks delectable,I was totally full by that time and could try only one dessert there that too one of the best sellers pistachio milk cake. It was heavenly mixture of cream and cake infused with pistachio flavor and topped with pistachio shavings. A must try!!!
Overall, I had a great time there and enjoyed each and every dish over here. I hope to see their other branches popping up soon on other locations as well. Try this place you won’t be dissapointed I bet!!!
