Last week I visited this newly ventured indian restaurant in Dubai in the premises of Dubai Festival City. Located on the first floor boasting all the traditional vibes, this place transport you India without leaving Dubai.
Every corner of this place reminds you different places in India. Like the entrance is called Darbar for welcoming guest then the long corridor with private partitions namely as Delhi, Mumbai and Goa, intelligently adorned with the associated place’s pic. The outside arrangement with overlooking waterfront is additional feather to this place. We were ushered to the table outside from where we could enjoy the fountain dance.
Peppermill offers an Ala carte as well as the Peppermill experience which needs to be booked at the time of reservations.
The manager Abhishek came and greet us warmly and asked to order from the menu. So!!what we chose in order to make our appetite satisfied
-Chaat trolley
-Peppermill Gymkhana
-Chicken karhai
-Gosht Biryani
-Paneer Makhanwala
– Cafreak Steak
-Prawns Shorba
Our server Ajay brought rice puffs to munch on while waiting for our order to be served, immediately after it, we were presented Amouse Bouche, it was creamy mixture in a cone standing still in a shot glass with the help of daal.
Chaat Trolley– It was a melody of all my favourite food on this planet earth. Samosa, gol gappay, mushrooms tikki and dahi pholki. Ah!!! cant tell you it was amazing and that platter bought the sheer happiness on my face.
Our first order Prawns Shorbha served our table and the warm mixture of soup was poured live on the bed of prawns and cream in front of us. I cant rave about it, it was warm and comforting if I hadn’t had to taste other stuff I would have satiate myself with only that delectable soup.
I am a big fan of biryani,so ordering biryani was an obvious plan. Long grain basmiti rice with earthy aroma of delhi taste would definitely delight you in every way. It was loaded with well cooked mutton pieces and each bite of it was making me to eat more and more.
Peppermill Gymkhana Selection which had a mix of chicken tikka, lamb chops, prawn and seekh kabab
Paneer Makhanwala the only vegetarian dish that we ordered from the menu. Being a carnivores soul we mostly order non-veg items but it was light and paneer chunks were cooked in tomato gravy and sweet fenugreek.
Moving on to the Kadai Chicken, stir fried chicken pieces in inhouse made kadai masla went well with served warm breads. I totally relish this dish with garlic naans.
Cafreal Steak NY beef strip loin steak was marinated well and crusted with cafreal spice and crushed peppercorn. We asked for the well done piece but still it was juicy and soft while chewing.
Our drinks mint lemonade, strawberry basil mojito ,coconuts curry leaves mojito, For me coconut curry leaves was different yet amazing.
For dessert we got a melody of assorted desi sweets and we loved each variety on the platter specially ras malai.
Ended our delightful and delish experience with the cup of Karak Tea and happily made our way to home.
If you are looking for a good indian restaurant with good view look no furthur and head on to this place for you desi fix.
