Awani is a tribute to the rising flavors that are a part of Arabic history,a definition of their roots and a map of their culinary evolution.
Last weekend I got to try this new block in town ,take pride in offering contemporary take on traditional oriental cuisine having a roots from Levant and Armenian.Essential to any cooking in the Arab world is the concept of hospitality and warmth which you will feel once you go and dine here.
The whole place has warm setting,hanging lamps vintage decor gives a soothing and laid back feel upon entering. They have equally worth mentioning outdoor seating area with a view over looks the Fountain and the Burj Khalifa. Least to say this place has instagrammable look although I couldn’t get the chance to dine outdoors as all the tables were reserved.
Our server served us welcome drink in shot glass,it was like a warm soup which was instantly accepted by my taste buds and I happily sipped while waiting for my main course

Awani Chicken Shawarma came out on a skewer platter like Nando’s Chicken. The pieces had earthy aroma and I relished them with thoum(garlic paste) and fries.
Where as Chicken Wild Thyme had the aroma of thyme but it was not dominant in taste. Again it came with fries and thoum(garlic paste)
Fried Fish with Herbs was hamour fish marinated in garlic,lemon and inhouse special spices served with fries and garlic paste(thoum) .
In drinks we ordered Mango Mystic and Lemonda,both were refreshing and the colors of mango mystic was pleasing to eyes.
Overall,it was a delightful experience to this newly opened branch of Awani in Dubai Mall and the way it was getting busy with the passage of time,showed the popularity it has gained in just a small time.
