I have been to many Lebanese restaurants but Syrian spots are still scarcity in number and If you asked me before this review my favorite Syrian restaurant I would have no one in my list but yes!!! this place won my heart with its food taste and quality. Situated in Tecom this restaurant has white interiors with comfy sitting arrangement both inside as well as outside.
They take pride in using fresh meat everyday and make in-house fresh breads for their manakesh and wraps. We started our session by ordering the following
1. Batata hara
2.hummus
3.Ceaser salad
4. Half grilled chicken
5. California wrap
6.Arabic shawarma
7. Cheese burger
8. Kasba
9.Fillet with potato and mushroom sauce
10. Green beans
11. Manakesh zatar and sujuk & cheese
In starters hummus, batat hara and ceaser salad. For me hummus is a barometer and if the quality matches to my liking means rest of the food would automatically delight my palates. Ceaser salad was fresh and came alone with extra sauce if we need more, bata hara I ate all of them instantly.
Arabic shawarma was a bit different it was simple and delish where as california wrap was a bit spicy but can surely wins anyone’s heart.
Kasba had all the earthy aromatic flavors with a perfectly grilled chicken piece. It came along a special sauce,I was so filled seriously that I couldn’t eat it properly.
Fillet with potato and mushroom sauce was amazing, the special sauce took the well marinated fillet taste to a notch up. A must try!!!
Green beans had tomato gravy with beans, served with special rice which had fried pieces of spaghetti . I would say it was comforting and the sourness in the gravy made me to eat it with spoon.
We tried two versions of Manakesh zataar and the other one was sujouk and cheese. Zaatar one was hands down amazing and delectable.
Lastly we got to try nutella on the dough which served us warm and man!!! it was soOo good I could eat all of it but resisted as trying to cut down sugar intake from my diet. We ended our session with green tea and made our way to home with happy tummy.
Undoubtedly this place is a hidden gem for authentic Syrian food that will not only leave you satisfied but also wouldn’t burden your pocket being located in Tecom. Don’t forget to try out this place. Thank you once again the owner Faras who gave us company through out our reviewing session and we loved talking and knowing you.
