Délifrance is a bakery company that serves “French style” bakery products in over 50 countries on five continents. It has been in operation for more than 25 years.They have just opened their doors few month back with only 2 outlets and gearing up to open more branches across the UAE.
Last week I tried their Ibn Batuta Mall branch located near the metro link. The restaurant has fascinating interiors with glistering red and white theme. Hanging lamps from the roof and wall frames gives appearance no less than a contemporary outlook.
Staff over here is very friendly and they make you relax the moment you set in. Their jolly styles shows they enjoy their work and environment.I got to meet the chef Omer who is professional in making and baking french delicacies. After talking and taking some info regarding the brand and food from him,he asked us to order our supper.
We started our session with fresh breads and assorted dips,ahhh!!! nothing is like having fresh carbs(heheheh) and then we ordered our drinks lemonade and fresh watermelon juice. Both were refreshing,specially lemonade the way I like to have neither too sweet nor extra sour.
Our order was
- Smoked Salmon and CreamCheese
- Chicken Burger
- Seared Salmon Fillet
- Rib Eye Fillet
- Lasagne
- Ceaser Salad
From salad section I went for my all time favorite ceaser salad. Fresh crunchy veggies with well cooked chicken strips topped with shaves of Parmesan cheese made my palates happy.
Smoked salmon came in freshly in house made crispy bagel, they claim to use 60% butter in the making of their bagels. Creamy batter of mildly spiced cream cheese topped on perfectly smoked salmon was a delight to eat.
Chiken burger unfortunately couldnt impress me, it had nothing extraordinary
Now lets talk about seared fish fillet, it was Aaaamazing guys, soft like pillow again midly spiced fillet is a must try over here. It came along with salad and fries.
Rib eye fillet was my husbands choice and I didn’t regret ordering his choice. It was well cooked piece of rib, unlike stretchy as we get most of the time when asked for well cooked but it was otherway around.
In desserts we tried chocolate fondant and eclair dark chocolate both were delectable specially the chocolate fondant with a scoop of vanilla icecream.
Overall,it was s successful discovery and not only the food but the service here made my experience delightful and satisfied.
