Italian cuisine is all about cheese, herbs and tomatoes. I still have to find any Italian food that my palate doesn’t enjoy eating. From pizzas to pasta and risotto everything allures you to eat them right away. Marco Italian kitchen as name suggest flaunts everything related to Italian cuisine, tucked away in Wafi pyarmids. The cuisine at MARCO’S takes inspiration from the traditional tastes in the small towns of Italy to create simple, good food. This newly opened Tuscany fare had brought aroma and essences and aromas of Italy to Dubai.
Last week I got a chance to have a live cooking session in a bloggers event from a Chef Marco Ghezzi who is famous for his authentic culinary skills. The session started with risotto, let me tell you it was my first hand experience of seeing it cooking live. Came to know that chef like to use special kind of rice, carnaroli rice for making it. It is usually a long cooking process but the chef managed to make in jiffy for us. I will attach all the recipes at the end.
The second dish was Rib Eye Steak with dry and fresh meat. Dry meat is the meat which is hung for like good some days. We all witnessed the cooking of both on the grill and to my amazement the dry meat was better in taste then the fresh one.
Moving on to the third dish that was octopus salad. I never like to eat octopus so I thought better to avoid it but my other blogger friend found it good but I thoroughly enjoyed eating fresh burrata and its a must try over here.
My fresh pineapple juice, was sipping and engrossed in live demo of cooking
The last but not the least dessert. We got to drench our taste buds in another authentic Italian fare Tiramisu. OMG!!!! I cant tell you how soft it was my fork was gliding through the layers of ladyfinger, mascarpone cheese and cream mixture. In short it was heavenly won everyone’s heart instantly. For me it was very informative class, as before that I could only cook pizza and pasta in Italian cuisine but now I can proudly try other dishes with ease and knowledge.
