I have been to movenpick many times but trying out chutneys restaurant was the first time. Located at the first floor of the hotel, overlook very famous fountain restaurant hall and huge royal looking staircase. Chutneys is an Indian restaurant with royal and fancy decor, transports you to some mughal era by its elegance.
I was invited there on Monday night for trying out their newly introduced buffet dinner, you can select other dishes from their A’le cart menu too like rest of the week. The buffet was divided into 5 parts

- Main Course
- Chaat Counter
- Live Station
- Dessert
The staff welcome us with big smile and ushered us to designated table by them. Dim hanging lights and warm setting makes you relax instantly. Traditional artifacts and art work on the wall resonate with theme. There was a stage for live singing in the inner hall adorned with colorful background.
Out of normal practice we were given karak tea as a welcome drink, soothing in such frosty weather. Starting our night by snacking on some papads came along with different chutnies after that roam around the buffet and dig out some food on our plate to treat our palates. Some of the dishes from buffet were

Server brought us some crispy sev puri and pani puri ,being such snack lover I relish them completely although sev puri was not that fresh.Apart from all this we ordered Lamb Biryani from the menu. Delightful aroma of saffron was emitting from each grain and moreish taste couldn’t stops us by filling our stomach with long grain flavorful saffron lamb biryani.
Our Refreshing drinks Pinacolada and Mint Lemonade
From live station kabas and tikka served to us and tikka won our heart instantly because of its perfect marination and softness.Fresh bread were there to accompany grill items and curry.Live entertainment was an added charm although the session started when we were about to finish our food. I wish we didn’t go early and could enjoy the live session for little longer.
Dessert station was a colorful melody of desi and international sweets. I got my hands on some desi methai, although we were offered to order some more dessert from menu which we turned down as our stomach was about to burst. We happily ordered green tea to wash down everything and restore our selve. It was time to bid farewell to the staff and we left happily ,nodding our heads on live upbeat music.
