Kababji is an authentic Lebanese restaurant and claims not to opt any shortcuts, just fresh fantastic ingredients, exceptional cooking and mouthwatering flavors.Did it live upto its claims? lets proceed further
Another Lebanese venture, allure you to sink in your teeth into middle eastern taste. Kababji grill is located at 4 prominent places and I got the chance to visit business bay outlet.
Its a small outlet and can accommodate 3 or 4 people inside and they have a fairly good space outdoor. So, in this weather who wouldn’t say yes to the alfresco dining. We opted to sit outside but I believe in summers it leaves with only takeaway option.
We started our experience by ordering
- Batata W Kezbara
- Hummus
- Mixed Grill
- Chicken Wings
- Makanek Sandwich
- Karabij (Dessert)
- Drinks
We got hummus on our table at first with fresh breads, hummus was of good quality they way it should be I enjoyed it with soft puffed breads.
Potatoes are my weakness and batata w kezbara is something I always try in every other Lebanese restaurant. They were fresh, not so oily and spiced aromatically.
Mixed grill which is a barometer of any middle eastern fare. It was decent,I won’t say it was exceptional taste-wise although all stuff was well cooked. Platter had pieces of lamb kebabs, lamb skewer, and one chicken and shish taook with fries and spicy coriander khubus as a side.Whereas, chicken wings were soft and juicy in every bite.
They have wide variety of sandwiches as well, I tried makanek one and enjoyed it.
In dessert we had Karabji,it was new for me and totally worth to try. In drinks we quench our thirst with fresh pineapple juice and lemonade.
Overall, it is a nice place for your middle eastern cravings and not to forget, they have introduced light menu for diet lovers specially designed by Chief nutritionist Mrs.Sawsan Wazzan Jabri. It has salads and grill items. So, if you are around the business bay try it out and let me know your thoughts about this place.
