Inspired by the opulent flavors of Asian royalty Al-Bustan Rotana presents you lavish spread on thursday night by the name Imperial Night. Aptly named as this night offers you pan-asian authentic taste with some hint of middle east variety. The hotel bring you a fusion of sizzling dishes from three of their finest restaurants Benihana, Blue Elephant and Choices every weekend night from 6.30pm to 11:30pm.
I had a privilege of being invited there and soak my senses in oriental melody of three famous restaurants. Benihana serves you Japanese flavors, Blue Elephant being a hub of Thai cuisine where as choices restaurant spoils you with many flavors of Asian taste with middle east relish. I was delighted to see such sprawling spread and was unable to decide from where to start. We were ushered to the table in Blue Elephant which was emitting all the serene vibes, village cottages, lush tress, fishes in the canal and waterfall jingle sound transports you to some tranquil village of Thailand.
I started my experience with the sushi counter,it was huge!!! truly a heaven for sushi lover and I totally relish the taste of avocado filled sushi, spicy sushi, philidalphia rolls, tenmaki rolls and salmon one.
Following that there were two counters of thai curry with steamed jasmine rice,my favorite was vegetable green curry, which I dig in with spoon.Moving on to the other stations there were some fried items like spring rolls, prawns cracker, fried sardines and seafood on toast. My favorite were prawn crackers, seafood on the toast whereas fried sardines, avoided it due to the raw smell.Tom yum and corn soup were there to comfort you, specially the change in weather would make them a perfect choice. Other than that prawns tempura, pad thai noodles and some other more savory items were here.In the premises of Blue Elephant you could see some green options in the form of raw salads like papaya, salmon etc. Apart from it live station was there where you could get your raw seafood done according to your choice. In choices restaurant there were a mix of pan-asian and middle east spread. Fresh salads, cold mezze, hot mezze, raw seafood and even duck was there .Again live station was there for your grilling food. Fried shrimps and chicken wontons, crispy chicken wings, panjeon (korean spring onions pancake) are recommended from this section. My husband like to eat duck but unfortunately it couldn’t impress him.
Now come to the most sweetest part of any buffet that is Desserts. Let me assure you this place has something for everyone,From tiramisu, pastries, cheesecake to mint chocolate fountain etc.Crepes station was making mouthwatering fresh crepes. OMG!!! you will really need to put your diet aside and shamelessly indulge in the luxurious, creamy sweet delicacies.
We ended our rocking night with a cup of green tea to flush down all the calories we had after trying such a huge spread of food and variety.Left the place with satisfied cravings and happy tummy. I would say it was one of the best buffets I have been too, food variety, service and ambiance all were on point. This place offers much more what I have mentioned above. Try it out, explore rest of this magical spread on your own.Thank you Al-Bustan for inviting me to this heavenly buffet. Would highly recommend this place to all my followers.
