Table 9 is a modern version of a casual-chic bistro welcomes you to an extraordinary experience whether it is a casual dinner with family and friends, a special occasion or a famous Dubai Brunch.Located in the Hilton Dubai Creek, table 9 has earned a reputation for high-quality, original menus and a personalized dining experience.
Started in 2011 by Gordon Ramsay’s protégés, Nick Alvis & Scott Price and later under the reign of Darren Velvick and now it is lead by chef Esteban Gomez who has roots from chile. Yesterday, I was invited here for experiencing Latin flavors as Table 9 serves up the tradition dishes with modern outlook from South America.
This 5 course dinner cost you AED 199 and AED 349 inclusive of food & selected house beverages. We were trilled to tour around the southern part of america and introduce some authentic Latin flavors to our taste-buds. Its a spacious place exhibit sober interiors and warm lights which sets you to calming mood.
Fresh baked basket of bread with assorted butter like Lemon Olive Butter, Spicy Butter and regular butter were served to us right after settling down on the table and we nibble on it while waiting for our set menu of the night.
Our night started with the exotic flavor of Peru Ceviche De Pescado, made with fresh tilapia filets, lime juice, cilantro, red onion, and haberno pepper for some kick came along with corn and sweet potato. This was my second time trying out this healthy dish and relish it completely.
Second starter was from the coastal area of Venezuela Arepas, a daily food that was served in a 5 star style. Small bite size flat breads made out of corn flour served with braised meat in tiny pot, scrambled egg and avocado sauce. I had my breads with eggs and avocado as I didn’t like the taste of meat.
In main course we got Pastel De Choclo is a beef and corn casserole but is more of a layered corn and beef casserole than a pie in the traditional American. A very traditional and popular dish in Chile. This hearty Chilean meat pie is layered with delicious ingredients, including a tasty ground beef and onion mixture, a savory and sweet layer with Black Olives and raisins and a rich blend made boiled eggs. Then, it’s topped with a bit of sugar for a touch of sweetness and baked to perfection.
Our pre dessert or sweet appetizer was a Columbian rich flavors of Plantano Calado, caramelized banana topped with vanilla icecream, a quirky combo for non-south americans.
Our last and fifth course was Pastafrola right from Argentina. It is a covered, jam-filled shortcrust pastry dish principally made from flour, sugar and egg. Surely a sweet treat for desserts lover.
It is impeccable, in just a single session you get to relish authentic taste of South America without leaving Dubai.Do try it out specially if you are person who likes to try different cuisine,it is definitely a place worth trying.
