Sahara Grill first opened its door in the heart of london in 2004. Realizing the need for a unique flavor of high end quality of grilled food at an affordable price, the sahara grill team set out to establish an outlet that would not only cater for the needs of families and individuals looking for good food, but also to make their restaurant a magnet for foodies and gourmet food lovers alike. With the same intention and continuous drive they have branched our to the city of deserts UAE. Its located at The Mall, right next to ayam elezz.

This place exhibit capacious space and comfort sitting arrangement. Warm lights and earthy color interiors keeps you relaxed. Outdoor and indoor seating both are available but outdoor is unlike open space its almost covered. You can peep-in in the bustling life of kitchen through open window facing the inner hall.

Service is commendable, prompt and courteous except the supervisor who came to ask while we were half way done with our food that did I have a reservation and if yes by what name.In short he didn’t know or maybe nobody informed him that I am a blogger and was there on invitation for reviewing. Well ignoring that part, everything went well. Now question is what I had in dinner there? so we had

  • Sahara Shrimps
  • Sahara Lamp Chops
  • Greek Salad Surprise
  • Sliders (cajun and classic buger)
  • Sahara Chicken Steak
  • Pasta Alfredo

In Starters first item came to tantalized our taste buds were Shrimps,a slight varied version of dynamite shrimps which we usually get every other restaurant now a days, served along with a spicy tangy sauce which accompanied well with those tiny munchies.

Not to mention, service is so quick here that we were served all the dishes together on our table within 15 mins of order. Quite impeccable!! and we made sure to inform our spice tolerance level (on scale we are on medium level) to them, so if you are like us then don’t forget to mention while ordering and they will happily customized and make it spice friendly specially for you.

Sahara Lamp chops– Right from New Zealand and marinated in in-house spices  and flame grilled to your liking will make you crave for more. It was juicy and definitely a treat for a meat lovers.

Greek Salad Surprise– Melody of healthy notes with tender chicken strips on the top was utterly delicious,if I hadn’t had to try other stuff I would have filled my tummy alone with it.

Sliders– Instead of trying out the whole deal of burger we opted for sliders to sample both the versions that is beef and chicken. Cajun Burger had marinated chicken fillet in cajun spices sandwich between soft buns and Classic Burger beef variety topped with tomato relish. Frankly speaking sliders couldn’t make its way to my favorites of the night.

Sahara Chicken Steak– A mouthwatering and tender pieces of steak served with sauce, coleslaw and fries, you can replace the fries with rice as well. Totally enjoyed it.

Pasta Alfredo- Penne pasta coasted heavenly with creamy and buttery white sauce, is something not to be missed although I felt a little paucity of salt in it otherwise it was delectable and try to gobble it as soon as its served.

In drinks we ordered

  • Mango Dream
  • Coconut Crush

Lastly we ordered desserts, Tiramisu and Cheesecake both were toothsome and had balanced sweetness.Still if I have to choose one I will go with Tiramisu. We called it a night by flushing down all the food fare with green tea. On the whole there were more hits than misses. Definitely highly recommended place for food lovers.
