Last Friday I got the chance to explore this amazing place of healthy and delicious food with a spectacular view of harbor. Specially this time of the year when pleasant breeze ready to wrap you. This place has both indoor and outdoor sitting area and without second thought we decided to sit at the porch side.Indoor space boasts nautical theme with cool ambiance, decorated with hanging nets and pictures of harbor in monochrome tone gracing one of the wall.
The staff is also always around to ensure prompt and friendly service and following the suggestion from our server we started off our tasting session by ordering drinks Emirati Gold Drink and Green Beauty. Both were refreshing and accompanied well with our food.
Main dishes we tried there
- Chicken Biryani
- Crispy Prawns Popcorn
- Chicken Mashawi
- Whole Baked Sea Bass
- Chicken Shawarma
Chicken Biryani- unlike traditional layered biryani,it was more like a deconstructed version of it where you mix each item wild red Camargue rice, chicken curry and raita and tantalized your taste buds with the taste. Amazing taste.
Crispy Prawns Popcorn- miniature fried balls of prawns served with tingy dip,I wish they had blotted the balls before serving,it would have been much better otherwise it was a crunchy treat.
Chicken Mashwai- two skewers of chicken, grilled to perfection and succulent in taste came along with Arabic rice and green salad.
Whole Baked Sea Bas- Fish sea bass marinated in rosemary, thyme, garlic, zaatar. It was soft and retained its moisture but be careful while eating it as it had many fine bones. I never like raw fish taste but fortunately it was well cooked and didn’t even have whiff of raw smell, another added reason to try it out here if you have same preference.
Chicken Shawarma- I found it a bit dry to my liking although tastewise it was good and served with organic salad and crispy french fries.
After all this appetizing meal we moved to try the most excited part of any food session that is Dessert and I was super excited because omnia offers gluten free, dairy free and free from processed sugar which is quite great. Our courteous server made us a platter of assorted desserts so that we could sample most of the variety. From raw tiramisu to Silvena’s velvet cheesecake to chocolate budino tart everything seemed like a sweet heaven to my taste buds.I totally indulged myself without worrying about calories and sugar intake in short it was no short of ambrosial affair. Some of my favorites were
- Raw Tiramisu
- Silvena’s Raspberry Cheesecake
- Oreo Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies
- Orea Cup
- Raw Chia Mango pudding
Overall,I had a great time not just the food but the place was added feature.Luckily I got to meet Silvene as well,it was pleasure meeting her and indeed a radiant personality she is. I am still surprised by the zomato rating of this place with mixed review predominantly, on the contrary I would highly recommend this place to all my followers, for good food with an amazing overlooking bay view.
