I got a chance to try out this brand at newly opened burjuman outlet. I was warmly greeted by the team and manager Mr. Ashraf. After setting down on the table we were presented the menu.Surprisingly the menu is vast and would need multiple visits to evaluate.Without going in the struggle of thinking we opted to go with team suggestion.
The session started with drinks Peru Pyala and Strawberry Mojito. Peru Pyala guava juice with lemon and mint served chilled in a chilli rimmed glass. Strawberry Mojitos mixture of strawberries, mint leaves topped with soda. Although it was sour for my liking so I asked for another drink Virgin Pina Colada. Tropical pinaapple taste with refreshes you instantly.
No indian food is complete without munching on papappad, chutneys and pickle at first. Following the tradition assorted pappads platter came on our table and we satisfyingly scrunch every bite while waiting for the food.
Moving on to the starters we got to try
- Murgh Angara Bedgi
- Chandi Kawyan
- Pudina Seekh
- Tandoori Basil Prawns
- Kali Mirch Methi Fish Tikka
Murgh Angara Bedgi soft and juicy pieces of chicken, well marinated and charcoaled .Great start of the evening. Chandi Kaliyan, mild flavored Chicken Tikkas with cheese and lemon butter, served with creamy yogurt onions. Pudina Seekh tender mint flavored minced mutton skewers. Tandoori Basil Prawns, the prawns came with tantalizing aroma of basil and delicious seasoning of tangy lemon and spices. Methi Fish Tikka had peppery flavor with fresh fenugreek aroma and crackling spinach. The whole platter was a complete combination of flavor and taste.
Moving on to the main course we had
- Nalli Rogan Josh
- Lazeez Murg Tikka Masala
- Lalla Mussa Dal
- Murgh NoorMahal Biryani
Mutton dish Nalli Rogan Josh, thick shank gravy made with authentic kashmiri spices spot on flavor,to me it was like a traditional desi Nihari. You can enjoy this flavorsome gravy and well cooked mutton pieces with Lassoni Naan . Lazeez Murg Tikka Masala a chicken dish another gravy dish, a bit spicy but went perfect with Peshawari Naan. Veg dish Lalla Musa Dal was another addition to our main course. All I can say it was smooth and creamy in taste and I totally relish this luscious daal with spoon.I am an ardent fan of biryani and a not so good biryani easily ruin my mood but much to my delight it was a blend of aromatic rice and delectable taste.
Last but not the least Dessert, from the menu we opted for Zauki Sahi, modern version of traditional shahi tukray, served in a martina glass.Condensed milk and crispy luscious bread topped with soft gulab jaman in the center. Highly recommended
