Last friday I got the chance to have an experience of brunch at Kris with a view housing in Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel. Ideally located at 19th floor with a panoramic stunning view of old and new #mydubai. As the sun goes down the entire mood & ambiance changes from warm & cozy to sassy & dazzling with all its intricate lighting, converts into a elegant romantic spot perfect for special occasions. This classy restaurant offers you different theme nights and surprise you with palatable flavors.
A lavish 9 course set menu was awaiting to cater our taste-buds and we were trilled to try friday brunch at the restaurant with an amazing view.
We got a perfect table with an amazing view of #mydubai but after some time due to direct sunlight I asked to change our seat,which they did happily.
Our culinary journey begins with welcome drink Pandan & Coconut Slush, it was light green in color with mild coconut flavor, served in a small cute glass and urges you to gulp right away.
Other moctails we ordered from the menu was Matcha Iced Cappuccino and leychee lemongrass crush. Leychee being favorite, topped taste wise among the other drinks.
The 9 course menu start with the salad sampler,the platter had green mango and long bean,malay rojak and channa chaat. Green mango was a combo of sweet and sour taste where as malay rojak had papaya and other fruits. Channa chaat an indian savory, felt insipid to my taste buds still I didn’t leave a single morsel of it.
Other platter arrived on our table was colorful sushi, Chef’s maki and nigiri selections. A delightful platter for every sushi lovers.

Our server came to ask for the choice of soup. I opted Thai tom yum and my husband went with Chinese hot and sour soup. Unfortunately both the soup couldn’t impress us at all and I left it after taking 2 sips.
In Hot Appetizers we got selection of crab and prawns cake,dumplings,tempura,Malaysian satay and Indian samosa and koftas. I thoroughly relished each item and tempura & satay were spot on.
From Noodles Section we tried both options given in the menu. Beef char kway teow and chicken lo-mein. Both exhilarated our mood with their palatable taste and I literally devoured chicken lo-mein in no time.
I must admit at this point the whole team was so courteous and prompt in service. They made sure everything goes smoothly and attend us well during the whole session.
Before the arrival of main course we were served Sorbet for cleansing our palate. The gastronomical presentation of sorbet gave us a refreshing break and prepared us to indulge again in the world of flavors.
In main course we got Thai basil tofu,Szechuan crispy fish,Beef taryaki,Lamb rendang, Mixed tandoori chicken and Vegetable egg fried rice. All these succulent dishes came in small portion,it was kind of relief to see compact serving size as my husband and I were almost stuffed. The session was no short of buffet for us . Recommended dishes are Szechuan crispy fish, Mixed tandoori chicken and Vegetable egg fried rice.
The 8th course was Trio of Classic Curry. From Thailand to Malaysia to India, each curry had a distinctive flavor and represents the origin well. I enjoyed each curry with fresh and crispy Naan Bread.
Last but not the least Dessert platter,it was a melody of colors and sweet treats like asian creme brulee, exotic fresh fruits, steamed cake, pandan meringue and chilli chocolate cake. For me pandan meringue intrigued me with its unique flavor, exotic fresh fruits were fresh and juicy, creme brulee entices you with its creaminess and chilli chocolate cake,no wonder you get amaze with this unique combo, luscious dark chocolate taste with a kick of spice at the same time .
All in all, it was a good discovery and if your taste buds are acquainted with pan asian cuisine you will definitely indulge satisfactorily in Kris With A View’s Friday brunch .Try out this place and apart from this lavish brunch, they offer different theme nights on each day of the week, incase you want to try different cuisine.
