Buzz Adda an Indian restaurant takes pride in offering home style food. Where quality and taste matter the most.A hidden gem nestled in Cluster O,JLT. They have been operating for the last few months and doing quite well. Among many restaurants its not a facile game to differentiate your style and accepted easily. The owner Tarun with financial background but a passionate hotelier who knows exactly what style he wants to serve and target.
This place has basic interior with compact menu features famous desi items. On weekends if you prefer to get up late and likes late lazy breakfast then worry not, buzz adda serves all day breakfast on weekends to save you from any kitchen hassle. Lunch and dinner menu changes everyday so you don’t get bored and miss home made food.
Mr. Tarun wanted us to taste items which are not easily available everywhere and we preferred to go with his recommendations.we started our culinary journey by ordering drinks from DESI CHASKA. We opted for Kulukki Sharbat and Spicy Buttermilk. Kulukki is a malayalam word means “shake”this traditional concoction of lemons and other ingredients from kerela is a perfect to beat the #mydubai heat.
The other drink spicy buttermilk irritated my throat a little in first sip,so Mr. Tarun exchange my drink with Aam Panna. Soothing and sweet taste of aam panna goes perfect with every dish I tried. So if you like buttermilk but intolerant to spicy version I would recommend to skip it.
The menu has sections with quirky names which I observed while going through it. The first thing hits our table was OATS IDLI. A very healthy option from their morning buzz section, had it with chatni.
Then we tried Kaale chane-Poori and halwa from their all day desi breakfast. It was new for me to have kaale chane instead of white channe and aloo curry in halwa poori but I must say you would equally like this version too, its purely delhi style.
We proceeded to try kaale channe kabab very yummy veg version of our usual shammi kabab. A def try to make your palate happy.
Chicken malai tikka was so fork-soft although a little more spice in it would have made them top in my list.
They have thali in three sizes(Basic-Mini- Deluxe) which you can customize according to your mood and liking. I got to try deluxe one but let me warn you its good for two ppl or if you have great appetite. It caters both veg and non-veg, even being a non veg, I tried veg thali and approved it instantly.
At this point my tummy was full and was sending me signals to call it a day but we still yet to taste chicken biryani and kathi roll. I couldn’t taste kathi roll but according to my husband it was good.
As far as chicken biryani if you like spicy version maybe you won’t like it but it was aromatic and if I were not full, could have eaten it in good portion.
In dessert we had gajar ka halwa, a different taste, they don’t use artificial colors and there was no use of khoya still it can make any desi sweet lover happy.
We ended our session with ginger tea, chit chat and happy tummy. I would definitely recommend this place as its rear to see desi restaurants conscious about the amount of oil use in preparing dishes and balanced spice level because for me desi food isn’t about surface floating oil in every single dish and go crazy on spice. Try it out this hidden gem in JLT. They deliver and take party orders too.
