Village Restaurant

Yesterday I got a chance to visit a Pakistani restaurant Village,claims for authentic Pakistani taste, located in Ajman.  Its a small place but who cares as long as food tastes amazing,right?Menu is compact but features delicious and famous dishes (equally famed in Pakistan and India) and makes you hungry just by going through it.

Mr. Aftab the owner of the restaurant welcomed us. After setting down on the table we were informed that they are already preparing their best from the menu Seekh kabab and Butter chicken.Although I ordered biryani too as I am fan of it and always on the hunt of better options here in UAE.

Long grains in biryani shows up the quality of rice being used in making of it. Aromatic ingredients and right amount of spice made it to qualifies to my favorites list. Tender and well cooked pieces of chicken was a delight to have in every bite.

 

Seekh kabab were served to us and made us ravenous at first look. Kabab were succulent and grilled to perfection but let me warn you if you can’t handle the spice heat let them know beforehand,so that they can turn you dish spice friendly. Soft kababs were easily broken with fork I just missed raita (yogurt dip) to accompany with them or maybe If I could have asked they served it with them.

The other dish that came on our table was Butter Chicken or you can call it Boneless Butter Chicken. Pieces of chicken simmered in creamy gravy with loads of butter floating on the surface yes thats the right description of this dish but it would make you palate happy just by taking first bite of it. I tried it with the pulka (flat bread) which were soft like pillow. Usually I don’t prefer to have so much oil in my dish but for such taste I can ditch my diet any day ;).

Any desi food is incomplete without lassi. Our lassi came in cute mason jar with beautiful polka dots lid. Refreshing and perfect consistency of lassi was like a relief after such a tiring day.

I look forward to try their breakfast and special paratha which I would have loved to try if I was their in morning time.I would definitely recommend this place if you looking for a pocket friendly place without compromising on the quality and I hope soon they gonna have more space so that big families would dine in with ease.
