A newly opened eatery at promenade level, marina walk. What I got to know about it,its a small family business with a bunch of extremely passionate people who aims to provide great food experience to their diners.
I was invited there for a bloggers meet up. The moment you enter you get fascinated by the interior specially your eyes get glued to the wall stretched across one corner of the restaurant to the other, decorated with real variety of plants. Family oriented ambiance with serene view of Marina skyline instantly makes you feel like home away from home.
Each blogger got a customized welcome note from the restaurant such a cute gesture, totally loved it.They have a wide range of menu from asian to chinese to indian. So in short they have got something for everyone.
I started my culinary journey by ordering cocktail A day at the beach. It is a concoction of cranberry, peach blended with orange and lemon juice. Totally refreshing and perfect after a long tiring day.
In soup I tried wonton soup, such a comforting soup with all fresh veggies infused in balanced taste of spices and broth.
In starters there were two variety Indian and Chinese. From indian starters we got to try paneer tikka, veg galauti kebab, mutton seekh kabab, chicken herbs.
Paneer Tikka marinated grilled paneer cubes were delicious in every bite. This tandoori snack had distinct smoky burned flavor which simply made it worth trying.
Veg Galauti Kebab , veg adaptation of famous galauti kebab from awadhi cuisine were soft and tasty, crunch of brown onions added character to the kebabs.Despite being a non-veg I simply relished them.
Mutton Seekh Kabab well acquainted non veg dish, came on our table and got finished in few seconds. They are usually made with smooth spiced minced meat and molded onto the skewers and cooked over tandoor.
Chicken Herbs chicken chunks marinated with dry herbs. The mild taste chicken was succulent and delicious in every manner.
From Chinese starters I tried chicken satay and potato satay.
Chicken Satay, chunks of chicken well marinated ,grilled to perfection and served with peanut butter sauce.
Potato Satay, potato is my all time favorite vegetable. Potatoes satay was supposed to be served for vegetarians but being an avid lover, I couldn’t miss the chance to try and delightfully those baby potatoes were melt in the mouth.
In main course I got to try Malaysian veg curry, burned ginger rice and tepinyaki noodles.
Tepinyaki Noodles, boiled noodles tossed in oyester sauce, sesame oil with fresh veggies and chopped garlic. You can order these noodles in veg ,non- veg or seafood version. It is basically a Japanese style noodles toss on flat grilled in order to get soft noodles with crunchy veggies.
Burned Ginger Rice, boiled rice tossed with dry chilies and burnt garlic pieces was not only aromatic but full on flavors too. I enjoyed my rice with Malaysian curry.
Malaysian Veg Curry, light green colored curry made up of coriander and coconut milk. It was a bit salty to my liking still the taste was good enough to enjoy.
Last but not the least in dessert we tried pineapple showboat which was the highlight of the evening. Assorted fruits with a dollop of icecream served in half cut pineapple. It was truly pleasing and excited me like a child. It was equally good in taste too.
I would totally recommend this place because of its food and quality however the whole session took a longer time then usual. I understand that they make food fresh which is evident in taste but customer would not like to wait that much long so I would suggest to look into this matter, apart from this I really had a great evening with fellow bloggers, good food and view.
