Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day.On lazy weekends I always hoppingly hunt good breaky options in town. After all the hectic week I don’t want to get into the kitchen(don’t judge me…wink wink).So last weekend I got a chance to try a new bijoui eatery in karama by the name Chai Sai. As the name suggest I was anticipating different vairety of tea with other desi fusion items like parathas,eggs etc and was wondering what makes it different from the rest of the same genre of places.
It is easily located through google maps and greets you with orange board. Its decorated in funky style with frames and graffiti according to the theme. A long stretched counter with high stools arrangement, seems like on the go cafe and you eat facing the wall but don’t worry the illustrations and pictures on the wall doesn’t let you get bored.
You get fresh and hot food from their busy kitchen. We started tasting with aloo paratha and pizza paratha. Surprisingly aloo was stuffed well and not at all smeared in oil. It came along with green raita which paired well with delicious aloo stuffed paratha.
Pizza Paratha,Yes!!!! you read it write not just paratha its pizza paratha,you get real deal of pizza. I couldn’t resist my hands and left not even a single morsel on my plate,so you can totally understand how amazing it was.No wonder its a best seller here,totally delish yum yum!!!
From anda(eggs) section we ordered cheese masala omelette and cheese and mushroom from the menu,sweet manager manisha suggested us to have these in sandwich style.Both were delectable and went well with cardamom tea.
I got excited after seeing burger paratha,kabab with layer of chatni and onions sandwich between paratha. I enjoyed it but not as much as like pizza paratha.
Oh!!!! not to forget,fanta shake.Yess!!! fanta shake, amazed??? you should be,I was surprised to see combo of fanta and milk,was little skeptical before trying it but let me tell shamelessly, you would surprisingly be pleased by this unique concoction.
To finish off our meal we tried kitkat paratha. I bet!!! it will leave you astonish. It was not only crispy but balance of sweetness makes you to keep on eating and for sure it a treat for all chocolate lovers.
I would totally recommend this place for desi breakfast and evening snacks.However,only problem I would mention is space and hope fully their management will look into it.
