BOXPARK is a venture contributing to Dubai’s high street retail, quirky dining options in a hip and modern setting and entertainment proposition. Logma is one of the famous and busy eatery option at box park, showcasing contemporary architecture with the aesthetics of warehouse container.
Logma claims to offer khaleeji cuisine and to know weather it lives up to its hype I went out for a tasting session. This simple with bits of emirati touch in interior such as walls of Arabic coffee pots, bedouin-style kerosene lamps, grey upholstered furnishings embroidered with camel designs makes you instantly feel that you are going to treat you palates with traditional food but logma is a traditional restaurant with a twist of contemporary touch.
The menu at Logma is surprisingly small and fairly untraditional. I made my first order from breakfast section and it was egg paratha. This dish reminisced my childhood where I used to have it in breakfast or even in my lunch box. It is basically an omelet made up of eggs, tomato, chilies, coriander and cheese, wrapped in a crispy flour paratha. I really liked the paratha as it was not at all oily or got soggy even after sometime.
From starters my server mitch very courteous helped me to select their best. I opted famous logma fries, chicken wing and samboosa from the bite section. I think there is no need to say anything about logma fries as they are already talk of the town. These thin fairly crispy fries tossed with arabic spices, gives it a right kick and you just can’t eat one.
Cheese samboosa filled bite item crispy from outside, airy and cheesy from inside makes you to eat one after the other and make sure to eat hot else cheese inside wouldn’t tempt you that much. The combo of cream cheese mixed with oman chips is outstanding.
Chicken wings another hit from the starters section, sour and fiery amalgamation of taste made it instantly hit on the table. My husband and I completely relished those deep fried coated in special khaleeji spices.
In drinks we tried Atlantis,Passion of Arabia and Logma shake. Atlantis, a very refreshing drinks perfect for scorching summer of #mydubai .
In main course we had Logma Shrimps Rice and Logma Burger. Logma shrimps rice is an aromatic rice dish made using whole spices, shrimps with local other ingredients served with raita sauce which goes perfect along with it. Shrimps were well cooked and soft in texture.
Logma burger reminds me of hardees burger. Grilled ground beef patty with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and logma sauce. So much deliciousness in every bite.
We were stuffed but couldn’t say no to the dessert when our sweet server mitch asked us to try some sweet items from the menu. Chebab Katayef and Rahash Fondant came on our table to satisfy our sweet cravings. Chebab katayef is a stuffed pancake, filled with mascarpone cheese and dates. A bit hard outer layer with sweet and pillow soft filling makes you to scoop out another spoon.
Rahash Fondant dark creamy chocolate fondant with rahash sauce on top. Ahhh!! it was truly aaaAaamazing and heavenly to the core.
My overall food ride at logma was great, khaleeji food with a twist of modern touch makes it a prominent eatery in box park and all the hype I had been hearing about logma from my fellow bloggers was spot on.
