I have always been a loyal fan of Starwood hotels and no wonder,I always intent to find starwood hotels for my staycation wherever I travel. You won’t find less than luxury, comfort and state-of-the-art concept in the hotels associated with them and Sheraton is one of them.
Sheraton Sharjah is newest and most extensive beach resort, the Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa is perfect seaside gathering place for extended holidays, short getaways, sumptuous local dining and social events. I got a chance to experience their Iftar’s buffet this Ramadan.Traditional cuisine with international diversity to ostentatious dessert display was all about their Iftar in Mudheef Ballroom.
Drinks, bread counter, hot soups and fresh fruits were displayed in another room, just before the ballroom. Jallab and Kamaradine were available in drinks. Hot soup lentil and chicken corn soup with croutons, was inviting to spark you appetite.Pleasing bread counter with fresh cheese was there to accompany with main course.
After all the basic setting of drinks, soup and bread counter, the main ballroom had all the festivity with the true spirit of Ramadan. The traditional majlis setup with assorted desserts display was the highlight of the evening.
The Salad counter was beaming with the freshness and assortment of variety. From staple emirate Fatoush,Moutabel and Tabouleh to international touch diversity were spread on two counters. Being a salad person it was not less than a delight to see such array. Rich and creamy Hummus and Thoum I consumed more than I am proud of and seafood salads were a great addition.
Lamb kebah,Falafel,Fatayer, Shish Tawook and live station of Shawarma were some of the filling starters.Dim sum and sushi were a surprise element in the amidst of Arabic cuisine.
Main course didn’t have much variety but I really liked the selection of dishes, catering both veg and non-veg lovers. Emirati and international medley of dishes in which Lamb Ouzi,Pasta with Tomato Sauce,Vegetable Curry,Chicken Dopeyaza,Chicken Biryani,Aloo Gobi,Hareesa,Beed Tajeen with Dry Fruits,Chicken Farikkah,Fish Tarator,Eggplant Rehab with Melting Cheese,Stuffed Wine Leaf with Braised Lamb Steak were in the today’s menu. They keep changing there menu except some main dishes.
The ostentatious presentation and variety of dessert was the most alluring part of the buffet. You get to enjoy traditional Um-Ali,basbosa,kunafa, gulaab jaman to assorted cheesecakes, cookies and mousses. Its like a heaven for sweet lover,if that doesn’t get you excited I don’t know what will.
If you fancy five star buffet and consider yourself a sweettooth than Sheraton Sharjah is definitely a perfect option to consider. Service was decent however I shout out for Mr.Don he made absolute sure that my husband and I was taken care of and the executive pastry chef Sanjit, who took out time to give all the information regarding buffet.
